Research -- the opinion on buying a new product

Objective:

-To find out a new product in an existing marketingˇ¦s acceptability

-How the customers be interested in a new product

Methodology and Sampling:

Methodology- do the research through internet

Sample size- 22visitors were completed ( until 2nd February 2003)

Length of interview - around 2 minutes

The questions of the research:

-The size of your house

-Have you ever found something at home?

-Choose the things you often lose at home

-How many times do you spend in finding lost things at home a week?

-How long do you spend in finding the lost things at home mostly?

-You always find the things in a hurry time or non-hurry time?

-Do you want a ˇ§Smart Detectorˇ¨ to help you to find the lost things?

-How much do you prefer to spend on this detector?

-How much salary do you have in each month?

Result of the research:

Until 2nd February 2003, there had 22 people completed the survey. According to the answer of these 22 people, the results are as below:

Out of 22 people, there have 15people (68%) would like to buy my product. More than half of them have the experience of misplaced their things. The item that they are mostly misplaced is the key, the second item is the watch and the third is the book. They mostly found the things in a hurry time and they would spend less than 10 minutes to find their misplaced things.

 Conclusion:

According to the result, keys are the most lost item. Since keys are the most

lost item therefore my ˇ§Smart Detectorˇ¨ will be made in a form of a key chain.

Once they cannot find their key, they just need to press their transmitter, the

receiver will be rung and the key will then be found.

On the other hand, there has another conception; I would like to use the

ˇ§ Smart Detectorˇ¨ on the remote control since this is also one of the items that

the people always misplace and I believe that the shape of the receiver is

suitable to fix on the general remote control.
