Hot Rice and Oat Cereal |

1/2 cup dried fruit (I use cranberries and apricots) |

1/2 cup regular rolled oats |
 |
|
1 cup cooked brown rice |
 |
|
1/2 tsp. cinnamon |
 |
|
3/4cup milk |
 |
|
2 tbs.brown sugar |
 |
|
10 chopped (raw unsalted almonds work as well) |
In a saucepan, place the milk and oats. Cook gently for a couple of minutes. Add the rice, cinnamon, brown sugar , almonds and dried fruit. Cook on medium low gently for a few more minutes, stirring frequently.
Preparation time (not including time to cook the rice) 7 min.
