| I Will Remember You ~For A Special Friend~ Some kids grow up given lots of confidence Others grow up being told they make no sense Given no encouragement to even want to try I just let things go, pass me right on by Always being to what I could and couldn't do I felt like there was just no use After I left home, it took me so many years Just to get over, all of those fears Of never being able to be good enough Sometimes it felt as if life was just too tough Still I would keep on struggling right through Then several years later, I met someone like you Even though I wasn't anywhere near as good as you You kept on encouraging me, right on through Encouragement you gave me, right from the start To continue writing, what was in my heart Inspirations you would often send me It was as if you saw something in me, I didn't see I always knew, I was no one special and never would be Still when I met you, you accepted me just for being me That meant more to me, than you will ever know Cause with you, my confidence started to grow And, even though I started alot later in life I will remember you each time, I start to write By Sue 5-25-02 |
