TRACKING VEHICLES Mobilus which uses GPS to know were exact locations of an owners vehicle. If a car is started by any means besides a key or is towed when it isn't supposed to be, an alarm is triggered. A call is first made to the owner to see if they know what is going on, if not the police are called. The route taken by the vehicle can be mapped by GPS and sent to police. This system then allows someone at the company headquarters to activate the horn and brake lights, and if safe cut the fuel to the engine. |
AIRPLANE SAFETY In the very near future to prevent airplanes from being used as missiles, there will be such thing on most planes called 'Dead-Man's Switch'. This switch would allow the pilot to turn over navigational control to an on-board GPS-based auto-landing system. It would send a mayday signal to air-traffic control, search a database for the nearest airport, receive landing authorization and land. No one on board would able to regain control. Although if a hijacker jammed the GPS, the system would put the plane in a holding pattern until it reacquired the signal.. |
