| Background: Chinese values have been in existance as far back as 5000 years ago. However, in a constantly changing world, those values have changed in some ways as the world progressed. This unit will examin the similarities and differences between traditional Chiniese family values (up to 1950), Revolutionary values (1950 - 1980), and Modern values (1980 - Present). | ||||||
| Your Task: After being assigned an era of history to investigate, students should read the narrative on background information provided at www.primarysources.org/library/tcus/chinese%20family/abrahamintr.html After reading the background narrative students should follow the link to thier corresponding time period values (Lesson 1, Lesson 2, or Lessson 3. Each of the time periods have a number of lesson activities that can help in understanding the values that were significant during each period in Chinese history. Select the activities that you think best demonstrate those values and execute or administer the activities with the class to teach them about the period.
