Upgrading
6210 to 6250
WARNING: Before upgrading always create FUBU (Full Backup) of your phone. Not just partial flash.

There have been no known problems with GSM 900 Networks
such as O2/BT Cellnet and Vodafone.
Problems with getting
signal on GSM 1800 Networks such as Orange, T-mobile, One2One
and Virgin have been Reported! If you try this upgrade and you cant get any signal afterwards,
just flash your backup.

Ensure your phone is Switched Off with no Sim card in!
Connect your phone to computer with flasher cable (LPT 1)
Read the Phone using Rolis478 and save
it! - This is your Backup If something goes wrong you can
always revert to your Backup!!
Load the MCU then Load the PPM, Flash the 6210 to address 00200000 x
00600000 using Rolis478.
(contact service will be displayed)
(When asked
to power on phone, just plug in the charger for 1 second)
Run Knok
Phoenix build 1.
Click 'Write' then 'Write FLS flash file to phone', Select the 6250 Virgin
EEPROM
and enter the Start Address 005A0000! then click OK.
When Flash is complete close Knok and connect your phone to computer using
an MBUS Data Cable.
Now Switch on your phone
Run NokTool1.8
press Read Phone Info.
Type in the box above the 'Change IMEI' button your original IMEI and tick
the 'Change original IMEI' box.
Now press the 'Change IMEI' button,
finally tick the box next to 'Update FAID'
then press the 'Update FAID' button.
Run Knok
Phoenix build 1.
Go to modify locks and click 'Reset SP Lock'.
Go to phone settings and click 'Reset User Interface Settings'.
Close NokTool Switch Off phone, disconnect cable, put sim in phone
and put
battery and back cover on then power up your 6250.
Now all you need is an 6250 conversion fascia and you have an
6250.
If there are any problems whatsoever, flash your backup (the original 4mb
file you read from your phone)
and ask your local service center to upgrade
your handset for you (probably for a small charge).
Internet Explorer 6 or above recommended and macromedia flash 6 plugin for best result
