| when love is gone and your spirit wishes it could go out like the light, when pain claws you out raw, shamed and empty that tears are not enough, pray you heal, watch the waves of the sea, you can crouch in the dark, close your eyes, lend yourself to sleep --- and when you wake up you'd still be you but one day away from yesterday. when every step seems hard and heavy, life not worth waking up to, if friends and family can't listen, or worse exhausting to explain yourself to, say you'll heal, touch the waves with your feet, watch the moon change shape, close your eyes, allow yourself some sleep--- so when you wake up you'd still be you yet another day away from yesterday soon, summer will be here flowers bloom, the leaves catch the color of fire, snow melts as it touches skin, and you feel you, here, safe and away, from yesterday. *for me 03mar04, mkt |
