| (1) Mamma Mia - Decent food, good breakfast buffet. On Umaran. To get there from Fuentes: go to the Parroquia. Facing the Parroquia from the front (Parroquia) side of the square, take the road directly to your right (Umaran). Mamma Mia is on the first corner (Umaran and Jesus) on the left. (2) Ole Ole - Good Fajitas and Margaritas. On Loreto. To get there from Fuentes: Take a right immediately after leaving Fuentes. Take the next left and stay on this road all of the way down the hill into town. Walk through the Artisans Market and take a right on the first major street you come to (Loreto). Ole Ole is approximately a block down on the left. (3) Rincon Espanol- Spanish food/Sushi. Flamenco dancing most nights. Paella not highly recommended. The sangria, however, is recommended. To get there from Fuentes: Head towards the Parroquia taking the Santo Domingo route. Rincon Espanol is on the corner of Correo and Recreo, one block up from the Jardin. Alternately, start facing the Parroquia at the front (Parroquia) side of the square. Take the road directly to your left. Rincon Espanol is one block up on the right. (4) El Pegaso- "International" menu, quite nice. Directly across the street from Rincon Espanol and the Post office. To get there from Fuentes: Follow directions to Rincon Espanol. (5) Tortitlan- Torta (grilled sandwich) shop; also good for delivery (a menu should be in Fuentes). Careful with the grilled chili peppers. On Juarez. To get there from Fuentes: Go towards Parroquia. Take a right on Corregidora (one block before Parroquia- right before the post office). Take a right where Corregidora meets San Fransisco followed by an immediate left onto Juarez. Tortitlan is about halfway down the block on the right. (6) El Antiguo Trattoria - Good Italian food. To get there from Fuentes: Go to the Parroqia and continue down Umaran (to the right of the Parroquia) until you reach Zacateros (the 3rd cross street). Take a left on Zacateros. Continue down Zacateros until it merges with Codo from the left to form Ancha de San Antonio. El Antiguo Trattoria is on the corner where the two streets meet. (7) Amigos - Good food, especially salads. To get there from Fuentes: Walk down past the Parroquia. Take the 4th left after the Parroquia (Zacateros). Continue down Zacateros several blocks until the block before it merges with Codo to form Ancha de San Antonio. Amigos is on the left in a courtyard. |

| (8) El Buen Cafe (9) Ten Ten Pie (10) Lung Fu - Chinese and Thai if you are looking for a change. Not "authentic" but good none the less. To get there from Fuentes: Walk towards the Parroquia. Take the left immediately after the Parroquia (Cuna de Allende). Alternately, face the Parroquia and take the road forward on the right side of the Parroquia (again, Cuna de Allende). Lung Fu is halfway down the block up a flight of stairs on the right. (11) San Augustin - "Churros y Chocolate" Owned and run by a Mexican film star, San Augustin is great for a snack (especially the churros y chocolate) or a light meal. On San Fransico across from the small park in front of the church. To get there from Fuentes: Walk down towards the Parroquia on Santo Domingo/Correo. Take the last right before arriving at the Jardin (Corregidora). San Augustin is on the corner of Corregidora and San Fransisco facing San Francisco. |
