Other
forms of Kryptonite that are not mentioned in Smallville
are:
Gold Kryptonite: permanently removes the powers possessed
by Kryptonians.
White Kryptonite: kills
plants--Kryptonian or not.
Anti-Kryptonite: has the
same affects as Green Kryptonite
on non-Kryptonians.
Jewel Kryptonite: affects
Phantom Zone prisoners much like Silver Kryptonite.
Silver Kryptonite was first introduced in 5.7
Splinter
. Brainiac (Professor Milton
Fine) created it and sent it to Lana giving Lex the credit for the mail package.
Clark then picks it up not knowing what it is and is pricked on the finger. As
the episode progresses Clark becomes more and more paranoid. Thinking that Lana
was in love with Lex and researching a spaceship (well, the latter one really
DID happen), Jonathan was accepting money from Lionel to put Clark into a lab,
and Chloe revealing his secret to Lionel Luthor.
Black
Kryptonite is first used in episode 4.1 Crusade. It has the ability to
split the personalities of Kryptonians as well as humans as seen in 4.17
Onyx when it splits Lex into Evil Lex and Good Lex. Created when
Green Kryptonite is super-heated.
Red Kryptonite is a form which affects Clark's
personality--it dampens his inhibitions. He becomes "no-consequences-Clark."
This was first introduced in episode 2.4 Red
. He
was first exposed to it by placing a class ring on his finger. The ring Pete
is wearing has the Red Kryptonite in it. The rock he is holding is Red Kryptonite
that is NOT refined.
Green Kryptonite is the most common form. It
removes
Superman's
powers
weakening him and, with continuing exposure, will kill him. In this
picture, Clark, yes, Clark, is holding a piece of Kryptonite in episode 5.2
Mortal after Jor-El took away his powers.
