Green Kryptonite(Common meteor rocks) - Also known as the 'Green K', large amounts were wide spread mainly all over Smallville during the meteor shower of 1983. It is known to have supernatural or extra terestrial effects on humans, animals, and plants. When exposed to Green Kryptonite Clark becomes sick and weak. Over exposure could result in death for Clark.

Red Kryptonite(Uncommon meteor rocks) - These rocks were discovered after Clark purchased a class ring with one inset in it which was supposed to be a Ruby. Red Kryptonite has the ability to effect Clark's mind and personality. It causes Clark to act on his darker inhibitions without thought or concern.

Black Kryptonite - Not much is currently known about this myserious form of Kryptonite as it has only been recently introduced to the 'Super' world. Black Kryptonite is created when Green Kryptonite is exposed to a great amount of heat. Exposure to Black Kryptonite seems to cause "division at the molecular level." as quoted by Lex Luthor's evil other half 'Alexander'. It seems to separate ones good side from thier bad side.

Gold Kryptonite - This type is produced when Green or Red Kryptonite is exposed to intense nuclear radiation. Exposure to this type of Kryptonite will completely strip Clark of his powers.

Blue Kryptonite - This form of Kryptonite is known to be harmful only to Bizarro creatures.

White kryptonite - This form of Kryptonite is known to be harmful only to plants.
