Malachi's name comes from the bible. Malachi is the last book of the old testement. Tyreque was given to him from Stuart. Malachi was born nine pounds excactly. Malachi's first sickness happened when we were living at the Mount. He couldn't keep any food or fluids down, and ended up in hospital where they feed him through a drip. He was put into iscolation and was only allowed one family member with him and his nanny didn't want to leave his side. He stayed in there over night and fully recovered, but they couldn't determine what the cause of the problem was. When he was a baby his radio remained on in his room on an opera music station throughout the day and night.
He joined up in Kutia Te Kohanga Reo when he was only a baby. He loved going to Kohanga but hated getting up early, sometimes he even had to miss Blues Clues. His mum started a course and Malachi had to say good-bye to all his friends at Kutia Kohanga, and say hello to his new friends at Puna Kohungahunga. We have now left course. Malachi started back at Kutia Te Kohanga Reo about three days before the holidays. He has been going on his own since returning to kohanga, which is really great for him. He has been keeping in touch with his 'dada' and helped out a couple times with the pamphlets. He also enjoys playing the game and spending time with Caitlyn and Troy.
Malachi has had a love for books ever since mummy started reading to him when he was only an infant. He loves spending time at Stuart's house. He loves spending time at nanny's, because nanny spoils him. Whenever nanny goes to The Warehouse Malachi always leaves with an iceblock. Same with Nanny Annie.
He also spends a lot of time with his Great Grand Nanny, Nana Blair and his Uncles Waka and Kiani. Malachi has a love for Rugby, Kapa Haka and recreational activities. He also loves to draw ALOT! He loves watching V8 Supercars on Channel One Motorsport. 'Look mummy fast cars'. He's also likes going to Todd and Pollock Speedway at the Mount to watch all the cars with Fiona, Kevin, Stuart, Mum, Heather and Kylie.
Malachi has recieved certificates for attending the local Sunday School. He also recieved certificates last year from Kutia and now has a couple from Puna.
Malachi is now two and eight months thereabouts and is no longer on the bottle, sleeps in his own bed, and is toilet trained. He has learnt from A-F in the alphabet and can count from one to ten without assistance. All thanks to Stuart and mum. The boys recently taught him how to draw faces which I only found out when he was drawing in Kura one day. Malachi has found it hard to accept things he cannot change, in which he has deteriorated considerably. I wouldn't be wrong if I said that he now would be a mirror image of me.
In saying that, with him only being two, he has already achieved a lot and has touched the hearts of people around him. I am very proud of him for what he has already accomplished and I wish you all the best son. Love you.
It's been awhile since I updated on Malachi's progress, as I haven't been around the kids much. He's still right into Nickelodeon the kids cartoon network. He loves swimming, and still spends some time with Annie and the boys. We are now getting used to having each other around more since I finished work. He is a lot bigger now, and has changed dramatically since the last time I looked after him. He's a very emotional kid, who needs a lot of love and attention in order to grow out of his current situation. He is still my clever handsome son and I love him. He is now 3 years old.
