| Outside the pale pink glow of a torch can be seen from the other side of the wall, a figure with long dark hair.... "Any time now would be good." Alaina shrieks from behind a chair. Gwen hiding in the doorway of another room. Brodrick is nowhere to be seen. The white haired man puts his hand down, stopping the attack. "I only want the girl. I will give you the chance to leave now." As the man says this, Brodrick leaps at him from behind. The man turns grabbing Brodrick by his arm and planting his face to the ground. He then steps on Brodrick neck, still holding his arm behind him, causing him to scream out in pain. "I gave you a chance. You made me do this."... Just then Jade leaps up the stairs holding a piece of parchment in his hand. "Evil now I banish thee. The dark shall have your soul. With these words I speek to thee. Death now takes it's toll." Arclen merely stares at the man, and begins to laugh. "You haven't enough power to banish me." A loud snap is heard as Brodrick's arm is broken. The boy lets out a horrific scream. Arclen once again presents his palm. "You haven't enough power?" Gwen thinks to herself. "We may not but you do. What was that spell?" Gwen begins to recite. "Look at yourself through another's eyes. What you find my be a surprise. To see the reflection that is true. Only kindness can bring it back to you." She stares at both Arclen and Jade. As both thier bodies shake. "What the hell?" Arclen says through Jade's mouth. Only when it's to late does he realize what has happened. Once again the spell is cast. "Evil now I banish thee. The dark shall have your soul. With these words I speek to thee. Death now takes it's toll." A bright flash is seen as both there bodies fall to the ground. Gwen rushes to Jade's body. "I hope this works." As she begins to heal him. "Bring him back. Come on." The Ice shatters from around Ellie. As she slowly walks over and kneels beside Jade's body. "I'll take care of him. You heal Brodrick." She motions to the boy now in shock. "Ellie leans over the body and wispers. "Come back to us Jade." she kisses him on the forehead. His skin once again becomes pink with life. His eyes open he looks for the first time at the beautiful young women infront of him. "Thank you." he says softly. "Is it safe yet?" Alaina calls to the others. They all look around at the room filled with water and the very confused family of Cathlics. Gwen looks of towards Alaina. "Yeah, it's safe. You can come out now." "Thank God." She says as she stands up and walks over to Gwen. Ellies mother stands up drinched in water and shivering from the cold. "Who are you people?" Brodrick looks into Ellie's eyes as they sit in the park. "Will I ever see you again?" Ellie begins to cry. "Of course you will. I can always come back and visit......I think." She looks down at her necklace. "My grandpa gave this to me for my forteenth birthday. He said it would protect me." She takes it off and hands it to him. The clear round gem turns blue in Brodrick's hands. "Anytime you want to see me. Just call my name. I'll hear you." They both stand together. "It's time for me to go. Thank you Brodrick." She turns to walk away, Brodrick grabs her by the hand. "One more thing." She turns back to face him. He leans down to kiss her. She reaches her hand up to his cheek as they lock lips. In a moment she disapears into a bright flash of light. Still feeling the warmth of her lips, he puts the necklace on holding the gem tightly in his hand. "Ellie." He wispers to himself... Back at Gwen's. "So your name is Jade?" she pours him a glass of tea. "That is correct." he picks up the glass of tea and begins to drink. "And your mentor is Aileen the councel member of the west. Right?" she says as he almost chokes. "Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." she puts the jug of tea back in the fridge, and closes the door. "Isn't living in Avalon fun?" They both start to laugh, as Alaina steps into the room. "What's so funny?" she asks. Gwen begins to explain. "Nothing, I was just saying that........" she screams as her body begins to jerk.
