| About an hour later. Brodrick opens his eyes to see Gwen sitting in the middle of the road in tears. Jade helps Brodrick to his feet. "She took Alaina. We tried to fight her off but......." Gwen begins to speak. "She's to stong. We can't win. We can't even hurt her." Jade puts his hand on Gwen's shoulder. "Maybe we're not supossed to." Alaina sits in a dark room, across from Kaylee. Water drips down the walls around them. "So," she says to Kaylee. "What do you want with me?" Kaylee leans closer to her. "Don't I look familiar to you? I should. I am after all...." "Alaina's ancester." Gwen says to Jade and Brodrick as they enter the musem. "It's the only way she could have awakened her." Brodrick steps up beside Gwen. "How do you know it was Alaina?" Gwen stops and looks over at him. "Trust me. I know." "This one." Jade yells to them. They all walk up to the entrance that is now blocked off by police tape. Then Jade looks at Gwen. "After you." "And who says chilvery is dead." she says as she crawls under the tape. They stand infront of what is left of the stone block. "What are we looking for?" Jade asks. Gwen walks up to a weapons exibit next to the crumbled rock, and picks up a staff. "This." Back with Alaina. Kaylee stares into the center of the crystal. "You released me." "I didn't do it on purpose." Alaina snears at her. Kaylee looks up at her. "Well, never the less. You are still my decendant. And as such you are entitled to this." she hands her the diamond. "All you need to do is one thing." Alaina's eyes get wide as she looks into the blue center of the gem. "What?" she says with a smile on her face. Kaylee's voice grows stern. "Bind them. Bind all of them." Alaina was mesmerized by the gem in her hand. "But I can't do that." "Yes you can." Kaylee encourages. "Just use this." she motions towards the diamond. "It's powerful, isn't it?" Alaina asks. "Yes." "The key to your power?" she glares at it more intently. "Yes." Alaina stares into Kaylee's eyes, and uses the diamond to hit her of the head. "Thanks for the info" she stands and runs out of the room. She finds herself in the sewer. "Ok, this would explain the smell." she looks around. "Now which way?" *Spash* Brodrick steps in a puddle. The "water" splash up him and almost onto the staff he is holding. "That was gross." Jade helps Gwen down the manhole. "What do you expect it's a sewer." She says to him as she pulls a flashlight from her pocket. "Alaina!" They begin to call. Gwen stops in mid-step. "Alaina." Alaina stops in her tracks as she hears Gwen's voice calling in her head. "Gwen? Where are you?" Gwen once again speaks to her. "I was going to ask you the same thing. Just look around. Find something that stands out. Can you do that?" Alaina turns back and forth. "Uh, yeah. I'm in a tunnel. There is a pipe. Oh! There's a sign!" she pauses for a minute. "And that would be uber bitch! Eeek!" Gwen grabs Jade's shoulder. "I know where she's at." She begins to run down a tunnel. "This way!" Brodrick shugs his shoulders at Jade and they begin to follow. "Ok, but if I get splashed one more time.....I'm out of here!" as they turn the corner. *Splash!* "Oh, shit!" Kaylee walks closer to Alaina. Slowly cornering her. "I believe you have something of mine." Alaina smirks. "Yeah, your not still sore about that whole hitting you over the head thing? Are you?" Kaylee steps closer reaching out to Alaina's hand. "Give it to me!" Alaina spots the others rushing to her. "I would. But I'm really not that kind of girl." Brodrick runs up behind her swinging the staff at her head. A loud *Crack* is heard as it makes contact. She turns, stubbles, and falls. Alaina looks at the staff and then at the Brodrick. "God! Your on a role today!" Gwen runs up to Alaina and begins to look for wounds. "Yeah, he has a thing for bashing in skulls. Are you hurt?" Alaina shakes her head. "What do we do with her? She won't be out forever." Gwen looks down at the gem in Alaina's hands. "I have an idea?" Alaina and Gwen sit across from each other, both focusing on the dark blue center of the diamond. Brodrick stands watch over Kaylee as she sits there glaring at them. Jade leans over to her. "I wouldn't move if I were you. He's getting really good at hitting people. How's your head by the way?" He moves quickly before she can reach him. She growls at him as Brodrick begins to tap the staff in his hand. She focuses her anger at him. "You will all die!" Brodrick drawls back. "Just give me a reason to hit you again. Please!" Gwen looks over to him. "Down boy." she motions him to put down his weapon. "What's wrong? Afraid we might win?" She says to Kaylee. Kaylee looks back at her. "You can't stop me." Gwen bends down in front of her. "I know I can't. But she can." she looks over at Alaina. "But she can. Can't she? That's why you didn't hurt her. It's why you need her to curse us." Gwen taps a finger against her head. "You can't keep me out." She walks over to Alaina kneeling beside her. "Just focus. Keep chanting to yourself." "You can't bind me." Kaylee says under her breath. Jade looks down at her. "Than why are you worried?" He leans in. "Your sweating." Alaina stands up. "I can't do it." she hands the diamond to Gwen. Kaylee chuckles. "I told you. She is to weak. Pathetic really." Alaina snatches the diamond back from Gwen. "Pathetic huh?" she thinks for a minute. "I don't have to bind you. I've |
