Annik - Tuesday, April 23, 2002, 4:49 PM ----------------------------------------- Smith Dining Hall As you step into this large room, rows upon rows of tables first greet you. The scars and spots in the wood and the benches distinguish them as apprentice benches, victims to younsters' curiosity about their first blades. Farther into the hall are groups of round tables with chairs, journeymen tables it would seem and finally across the top of the room sits one long table. The master's table is on a slightly raised dais, no doubt to allow the masters to keep a better eye on the apprentices during the meal. A swinging door near the apprentice tables gives a glimpse into the bustling kitchen. A large metal door to the west leads out to the main meadow. Contents: Niobe Tanon Wen Loren Obvious exits: Kitchens Main Meadow Wen sits down at the master's table. Niobe cannot figure out exactly what is going on, but walks in with a smile and a wave to all present. She sits down at the apprentice's table, eyes alert. Tella comes out from the kitchen, leaving the doors swinging. Tella has arrived. Tanon pokes his tongue out playfully at Loren, a grin spreading over his lips. Shortly behind him, dragged by the hand, Tella comes as well, leading her over to the Journeyman table to sit. Tanon sits down at the journeyman tables. Loren straightens when the craftmaster enters and rolls up the scroll, putting it in a side pocket of his vest. Flashing a smile to Annik first, he nods. "Good evening." Tella grins as she's dragged along behind Tanon. She glances around the room as she moves over to sit down beside the smith, scooting her chair a bit closer to his as she does so. Annik enters, smiling as she passes through the room. "Evening," she says, reaching the master's table and taking her seat. Tella sits down at the journeyman tables. You sit down at the master's table. At your table, Loren sighs. "I do wish this winter would end.. only half way through and it still seems like forever." Several cooks and drudges burst out of the kitchens, bringing baskets of breadsticks to each table, as well as an array of beverages. At your table, Annik shrugs, glancing out a window. "I don't think it's so bad, really." Wen nods to a drudge as he pours her a glass of wine. She quietly watches the apprentice tables as she takes a sip. Niobe smiles at the servers, and waits patiently for her superiors. Loren perks up a little when the kitchen staff start setting the tables. "Ah.. good fresh bread. And lots of butter too." he comments as he takes a half dozen sticks and butters them. "Well, I can hope for and early spring, though I don't think we have the Telgar tithe of agenothree quite ready yet." he replies to Annik's comment on the weather. Annik has her usual mug of klah (the liquid kind, of course), munching on a breadstick while she waits for the rest of the food. She grins over at Niobe. "Go ahead and eat, you don't have to wait." Tella reaches out to take up a breadstick. Her gaze sliding over the crowd, she plucks at the bread, eating small pieces at a time. She glances to Tanon, smiling. "Thanks for bringing me, love." Niobe slips a small piece of hide from one of her many pockets, and a charcoal stick from another. Still attentive to all around her, she makes the first few lines of her sketch. As Annik speaks to her, she guiltily looks up, and smiles. "Thanks, Annik." Niobe buters two 'sticks and starts to nibble on one. Tanon grins, giving a nod in response to Tella, as he too idly picks and eats at a breadstick. "Think the meeting is going to start soon?" he asks quietly, to Tella apparently. The cooks disappear in the kitchens, but they soon return with bowls and cauldrons of steamy vegetable soup. Annik glances over at Loren as she ladles herself a good portion of soup. "Right, so long winters can be a good thing, then. Gives us more time to prepare for spring, when business can be the busiest." Tella mms lightly as she sees the spoup coming. Hearing Tanon's question, she glances back to him. "Hmm.. I don't know. Never been to one of these," she says, her lips curving in a smile. She reaches out to take up her drink, lifting it to her lips for a sip. Wen serves herself a modest amount of the soup, eating it carefully, and still keeping an eye on those apprentices. Loren polishes off the six sticks in good order, making plenty of room for the welcome soup. He sniffs as the onion and celery odors mingle with the baked bread aroma. "Ah.. thank Faranth for dragon deliveries of fresh vegetables from the south." he murmers to Annik as he fills a bowl. Turning to the craftmaster, he grins. "If only we didn't have to still supply Igen and Ista, it'd be easy to get ready." he replies and begins to shovel in the soup. "Seems to be more eating than talking, that's new," comments the Ista Weyrsmith idly, reaching up to gently rub at a temple, "Hope it starts soon, I've got one nasty headache." Niobe ladels a good portion of the soup for herself, idly listening to the people around her. When she's finished, she glances at her superiors - sees them shoveling in the soup - and does likewise (one hand is still sketching). Tella frowns slightly watching him rub at his temple. "Oh.. That's not good," she comments, pausing in the process of taking a sip of her soup. She eyes the smith for a moment more before shaking her head. Loren empties his bowl and eyes the nearly empty serving bowl on the table. "Should I?" Annik nearly inhales her soup. "I still don't mind. It may be more work, but that's not always a bad thing." Hearing bits of conversation, she looks towards the journeymen's table. "Tanon, it's dinner first, then talk, remember?" she says with a quick smile. Niobe inhales soup and breadsticks, while sketching with a small smile . Her head bobs up occasionally to keep track of the goings on around her, then retreats back to the food, and her sketch. Tanon's tongue pokes out teasingly at Annik, before he begins to eat his soup, occasionally dipping his breadstick into the broth. "Maybe I should try to find a healer, bet they could give me something for it. Mind if we stop off at their hall before we go back to Ista dear?" he inquires, of Tella. Drudges begin removing empty bowls as the next courses are carried in. First are platters of breaded packtail, followed by bowls filled with seasoned and diced tubers. Her food now lying where it sould (in her stomach), Niobe sips from her large mug of klah, "hrmmm"ing over her sketch. Annik shrugs at Loren. "I don't care, I'm waiting for that packtail," she says with a grin as a platter is set before her. She spears a large piece and passes the rest on. Tella smiles, lifting her hand to pat Tanon on the shoulder. She sends a glance towards Annik when the smith sticks his tongue out at her, her lips quirking in a smile. "Not at all. I'm sure they can help," she replies before going back to eating the soup. Loren sighs and pushes his bowl away, apparently making room for the next course. "Yum!" is his only comment as he fills his plate. His glance scours the room, making quick note of who's sitting with whom.. and what they're doing. He leans a little closer to the craft master, his head nodding to the apprentices table. Loren mutters to Annik, "... back row... apps..." Loren whispers "Who's that on the back row of the apps table? New?" Wen takes a very small piece of packtail, cutting it into bite- sized pieces. Next to that, she puts a small serving of tubers and eats the pieces one at a time, with sips of wine every so often. A bit surprised at the denseness of the next course, Niobe takes only a smallish piece of fish, but a good sized spoonful of the tubers. As she slowly eats the new stuff, the brown-haired woman's eyes glitter with ideas, which are quickly transfered to the hide. Annik mutters to Loren, "... who's sketching?... fairly... been... few... Her..." You whisper "The one who's sketching? Yeah, she's fairly new, been here for a few sevendays now. Her name's Niobe." to Loren. Niobe overhears the word 'sketching', and immediately drops her charcoal stick, folding the hide and putting it away in a pocket. Annik piles some tubers onto her plate and eats, talking only once in awhile, to the other master's around her. Loren nods, daubing a packtail piece with a white herbed sauce from one of the many sauce and seasoning dishes on the table. He mutters to Annik, "I see..... think... be?" he returns, glancing at the girl again. You sense Loren nods, daubing a packtail piece with a white herbed sauce from one of the many sauce and seasoning dishes on the table. "I see.. well, I'll be seeing her in the forge soon enough. What do you think her specialty will be?" he returns, glancing at the girl again. Annik grins knowingly. She mutters to Loren, "Jewelry, almost undoubtedly.... has... and... to... to..." Loren senses "Annik grins knowingly. "Jewelry, almost undoubtedly. She has some background in gems and wants to learn how to do settings."" Wen finishes off her modest portions and allows her plate to be taken away. She seems content to wait and make sure the apprentices don't start any trouble. Loren gives a nod, turning to Annik. "Oh.. not heavy foundry work then? Too bad." he comments and returns to eating, a twinkle to his eyes. Slightly embarrased at being so obvious, Niobe covers up her little social blunder with a soft smile, eyes not looking directly at anybody. Still, her mind races with possibilities, ideas, designs. One hand unconsciously begins to fiddle with the carefully folded hide in her pocket... fingers itching to sketch. Finally, the last part of the meal arrives: dessert. Tonight it's a light sponge cake smothered in a mixed berry sauce. Finally, the craftsecond slides his plate away, which is promptly pounced on by an eager kitchen helper. His gaze scans the hall again, settling on the guest Tanon has with him. He gives the girl a smile and nods again to Tanon with an added eyebrow rise, curious. Annik just chuckles and shakes her head, polishing of her tubers and packtail mere moments before the dessert is brought out. "Ohh, that looks good," she murmurs, gladly accepting a piece. Tella grins as she spots the dessert coming. As it's placed in front of her, she digs in, not noticing the smile from the craftsecond's smile. She's too busy devouring the sponge cake. Loren nods to the helper, and indicates he want's two slices. With a grateful smile, he digs in too. "Excellent." he manages with nearly full mouth. "Truely a work of finest bakers art." It's... /berries/! Niobe temporarily forgets her mindful of ideas, and almost seems to drool as the dessert is put in front of her. Faranth love Bakers! Niobe certainly does, as the spongecake and fruit practically jump into her mouth. Annik doesn't even bother to chat while she's eating dessert, and the cake is gone in what seems like no time. After a mouthful of klah to wash it down, she turns her eyes to the other craftmembers. "Okay, let's get this meeting started." Looking to the apprentice master, she nods. Settling back in his chair, Loren sighs, hands over his tummy. "I'm ready.. for anything. Wake me when it's over?" he teases. Wen smiles, sort of, still glancing mostly to the apprentices. "We have a few promotions tonight..." She calls out the names of a couple junior apprentices and a full apprentice, who excitedly come to the front to claim their new knots, then taking a place at their respective new tables. "Congratulations," she says in closing and nods back to Annik. Annik applauds the new promotions, smiling as she turns to Loren. "Your turn." Tella smiles, watching the promotions as she finishes her dessert. Placing the fork down on the plate, she leans back against the chair, smiling lightly as she listens. Tanon absolutely beams, clapping especially loud for one of the apprentices in particular, a wave given to the young man. Niobe applauds her fellow Apprentices, a smile on her face. Loren nods to Annik and stands, still clapping too. But after a bit he waits for silence. When he finally has it, he pulls his note hide from a pocket and peers at it a second. "Well, since we're shuffling people at the tables, " he nods to Master Wen, "I suppose I should continue. Journey man Tanon, will you please escort smith Renald to the Journeyman's table?" "Sure," replies the Ista Weyrsmith merilly, a slight chortle coming from him, making his swift way over the apprentice table, "This way," he offers, a bit cornilly, extending his arm in the direction of the Journeyman table. Annik grins and claps for the newest journeyman. Tella grins as she watches Tanon stand and head over. She leans an elbow on the table before her, eyes folowing the man before looking to Renald. Wen applauds quietly at Renald's promotion. Niobe applauds, and adds her distinctive laugh to the general din, grinning at Tanon's antics. Loren smiles to the Ista smith and nods as Renald takes his seat, beaming and flushed. "Very good, thank you." He takes another look at his scroll then, "Journeyman Carron, your fine glasswork skill is needed at Igen hold. You'll be assisting the senior glass smith there with his production work of bottles and glasses. If you could also keep an eye on the sand and potash shipments to the hall, you'll be doing your craft a service too." he requests, in a not so requesting tone. The targeted Journeyman nods and gulps, looking nervously to his companions. Is there trouble ahead? He gets little help from his mates, it seems. Annik watches for now, sipping her klah. Niobe covers her mouth with her hands, hiding a grin. Man are they ever grilling /this/ poor man! Loren smiles again and checks the list one last time. "Well, we're ahead of schedule on the ageenothree production this winter, so I'll be forming a tithe detail to deliver Telgar's share when the passes are free of snow. Please, come talk to me if you'd like to take part." He pauses and takes a sip of citron from a bedewed tankard, then "Also, there will be a trader caravan arriving then for transporting our winter productions to the western holds, weyrs and halls. I'll need every able hand to help with that as well. I will not be asking for volunteers for that." he finishes and turns to the craftmaster. "It's all yours." he murmers and takes his seat. Annik nods as Loren finishes his bit. "Okay, Tanon," she says, looking at the journeyman. "Care to report on how things are at Ista?" She glances at Tella with a smile, "And perhaps introduce your friend, there?" Niobe 's grin falls from her face, and is replaced by a wrinkle of knit brows. Oh, my. Is that poor Journeyman being... punished... in front of all these people? She suddenly feels her stomach sink. Awful. Tanon chuckles quietly, standing once more, "This," he states, looking to Tella, "Is Tella, my weyrmate. I thought she might enjoy seeing how our meetings went." he states by way of explanation. He waits a moment, before continueing, "Nothing new is happening at Ista, it's mostly business as usual. BUT I do have what may be a rather neat find. I was wandering the jungles not even a month ago, and I found a patch of rather high-quality sand that would be suitable for glass. It's small, but it's there. At some point I could use someone coming out to make absolutely sure, and then we can start extraction." Tella looks towards Annik, her lips curving into a smile. She glances back to Tanon, grinning, a brow arching as she winks at him. Loren unrolls his scroll and makes a note with a stylus on it. He nods to Tanon and settles back to watch. Annik grins at the pair. "Well, welcome to the Hall, Tella." She nods at Tanon. "We'll see about sending Emdrien up there to look at it and make a report." Tella nods towards Annik, smiling. "Thanks," she replies to the woman before looking back to Ista's smith with a rather proud expression. Annik grins, nodding. "One more thing: we've decided to hold a festival, hopefully in a few months. It's still in the planning stages, but we'll let you know as it develops." Annik says that last statement to the entire craft, by the way. Niobe perks slightly at the mention of a festival, but she still feels subdued. Annik goes OOC and lights the OOC lamp! Loren smiles and claps, leading the way. "Good! First, let me say congrats to Annik. Lead well and long, oh lady of the smiths. :) " Tella grins. Tanon still says that Annik doesn't know a good thing when she sees one though ;) Annik beams. Thank you to everyone who came to this meeting, too. It does mean a lot. Niobe regains most of her composure, and applauds, letting loose a racous whistle. Tella eyes Tanon and plops on him. Tanon eeeps and is plopped on! Niobe wonders why Tanon still thinks he's so good looking? Doesn't he remember having his head forced into the stump grinder??? ;D Loren says "Hey, that made a definite improvement, Niobe. :)" Tella eeps and eyes her weyrmate. *takes a step away* Tanon might not have a pretty face, but he has a cute butt? ;) Annik pulls out her mound of pillows and some chocolate. Ahh, much better. Okay, so how is everyone? Enjoying the craft? Like being a Smith? Niobe brings out "port-o-grinder!"(tm) and shoves Tanon's butt into it. ;D Tella pokes Tanon and grins at Annik. "Oh, yes. I love being a Smith." O:) Loren says "I love being a smith. Bring on the fire, the sparks, the stench, the heat, the glass shards. :)" Tanon says "The metal shards too!" "Yah-yah!" Niobe chortles. Loren says "I ought to get out to the other areas more. Rattle them with smith foo... lots! ;)" Annik grins and tosses the 'Honorary Smith' pillow to Tella. Let's see... how do you think of the promotion requirements? Too hard? Too easy? Tella beams and sits on the 'Honorary Smith' pillow. Loren says "Way too hard to make super smith, I think. :0" Tanon wonders... so who gets to paint Tella blue? Loren says "I say let her swim in Ruatha's Ice lake. That usually does it. :)" Niobe wonder what's so hard about Supersmith? Just make the blue jammies and the cape with the red 'SS' on the back... Tella hides behind Tanon. Tanon pours paint on Tella :) Tella deweyrmates Tanon. O:) Wen erms and should go. Later, everyone. :) Tanon says "Laters Wen! :)" Tella waves at Wen. Nice meeting yas. Niobe looks at Tella with a practiced eye. Thought you needed scissors or a really sharp knife to do that? ;) Annik was thinking about making the junior requirements more of a choice, so they could choose one (aside from RP) and move up a bit quicker. Thoughts? Loren pounds Niobe with his mighty hammer. "Thor, I'm might Thor.. and you would be too, if you had to swing this dang hammer all day!" Tella shakes her head at Niobe. Nope, just the GreenriderPower. Annik waves at Wen. Niobe nods in agreement with Annik. Loren says "Bye Wen!" Wen goes home. Wen has left. Of course, Niobe is prejudiced in this respect... ;D Loren says "Hmmm.. I suppose we could think about reducing the number of apprentice levels? Does three seem too many now?"" Tanon has often thought we could get rid of Jr. Appy You say "Oh?" Niobe thinks that perhaps Jr. App might be a special case rank for someone who really wants to enter the Craft, but has no bloody idea of what they want to do, or how to go about doing it? Tanon nods, "Well, unless it's changed... people are Jr. Appy for what? Two weeks, just until we know they've the very basics of coding and descing down? Most people can pick that up in a day or maybe two..." He ohs! and nods! "That's a good idea Niobe!" Loren says "I agree, Niobe. We haven't had a new mush player in ages." You say "Hmm. What if we had a sort of proficiency thing? Say, give us an example of code, or a maybe a desc, and they can go straight to App?" Loren says "Well, if they can code and desc their cot, they get promoted?" Niobe Hrmmms. That might be a problem... It really gears people to CODE, not necessatily RP. I mean how many people really know coding? Tella wonders if she can say something? Loren says "We smiths are supposed to know code. :) It's historically the cause celebre of the smiths." I know quite a bit about metals/jewelry/gems for the average RL person. But i'd be held back for not knowing how to do basic coding? Niobe says, that was ME. Loren says "Shucks, we teach coding, and it could be just a copy of someone elses with new descs." You say "Go ahead, Tella." You say "And what would you suggest, then, Niobe? How could we gear it towards RP?" Tella wells, "Like Loren said, if it was just them having to code and desc a cot, there's places they could just copy the code from like Igen's '+lhelp candidate cot'." Annik nods. There's a whole set of instructions on the SMI webpage. I was just using RP as an example, Annik. :) It's more about not relying on Coding as the decision-making event. Tella ahhs. Tanon sighs, and must be off :( See you guys all later! Annik didn't necessarily mean just coding. It could be descing, or whatever. You guys tell me what you want. Bye Tanon! says Niobe Tanon goes home. Tanon has left. Tella grins. Well, since my reason for being here's gone, I should probably head back to the weyr. ;) Nice meeting you all. Niobe says, "Bye Tella! Loren says "bye Tella! Come again?" Tella grins. Will do. ;) Annik smiles. Thanks for visiting, Tella. Come back anytime. Tella goes home. Tella has left. Carissa comes in from the main meadow. Carissa has arrived. Niobe tilts her head. Do you mean like desc-ing some object one would create? Loren says "I'm going to have to run soon too. The SO will be home in ten minutes." Carissa (ooc) looks for a flag and then pokes all the dead people with a stick just to be obnoxious. You say "We're OOC. :) Yes, Niobe, you could create something and desc it." Carissa pulls her pj's on and yeahs, then :) Loren says "Whew! I wasn't going to say anything about the lack of clothes, Carissa, but thanks!" Carissa blinks.. O.o You say "Carissa, we're discussing the promotion requirements and possibly getting rid of JrApp." Carissa thinks that's wise.. it takes forever, and most crafts usually only have jr. apprentence, and sr. apprentice.. we have 3 stages don't we?*sorry for the lack of orientation, I'm on all sorts of meds..* Loren gets called to the door by one of the hall stewards. He waves to Annik and the others and leaves, deep in dsicussion with the fellow. Loren heads out the large metal door to the meadow. Loren has left. Niobe says Sure. desc-ing can be a relatively difficult thing for some people to do (for a stereotypical example: a coding person who has little skill with writing/describing an object purely from a mental framepoint). Annik nods. We're thinking about maybe having a 'proficiency' to go straight to App. Carissa points out some people have problems describing themselves let alone objects.. O.o And you might want to through the 'tent time' out the window. We don't seem to be having many Gathers lately. Niobe nods in agreement with Carrisa. Niobe thinks, Tent-time could still be on there, but as a possibility if a Gather might be coming up. Annik wouldn't exactly throw it out the window, but I can put it on the back burner. Annik nods at Niobe. It's really a lot of fun, if you get a chance to do it. Carissa nods.. "It can be.. but gathers died out and stuff, so Annik grins. Well, that's why we're going to do our own festival thing. Next month, by the way. Niobe nods. I'd probably back-burner it, then. Niobe is too new to understand. Why did Gathers die out here? You say "That's why I added the option of doing a class instead. I want to keep some sort of interactive smith-type activity." Carissa nods, "Talbak(man) keeps bringing it up.. Because.. they get boring O.o Its like a job fair when everyone has a job.." Carissa points out someone has to do classes first before they can get credit.. Niobe says "Ahhh. I see. Especially for a Crafter, neh? ;) You say "No, it's not because they get boring. The MUSH has died down a lot from what it used to be, unfortunately. All crafts and holds have had a pretty bad drop in activity, because all anyone (most people) want to do is become a dragonrider." You say "Holds are supposed to do the gathers, but they aren't active anymore." Niobe can also understand /that/ difficulty. Carissa nods, "I think the only time I ever ICly sold something was my first gather.. to my RL best friend ;) Yeah.. it used to be.. 200 upwards people on at one time? we're lucky to get 75.." You say "Not quite 200, but about 100 was the norm for awhile." Carissa nods and this the record was 200 or something.. Niobe asks Why doesn't someone in a senior position(s) go advertising for Crafters and Holders for PernMush? You say "So back to promotion requirements. I do want to keep some sort of 'entry-level' position, whether it be turning in something prior to knotting, or just making less reqs for Jrs." You say "On the MUSH, or elsewhere?" Niobe says, elsewhere. Carissa thinks we've tried that.. MU*ing isn't as big as it used to be.. unless you're an inappropriately themed mush.. I think maybe you should make it simular to WVR.. you're a junior for a month max, and then you have to prove your way out of Apprenticeship.. Niobe likes the idea of simply App and Sr. App... Maybe something like showing at least some proficiency with a few things before earning a knot? Carissa thinks it might help us keep our apprentices, too.. a lot of them are daunted by having so many levels before reaching Jman.. You say "But that's like the same thing as Jr, but you don't even have a knot." Carissa nods Niobe is just tossing out ideas. Never said I was lucid. Annik nods. And I'm tossing out my ideas too. :) Niobe is at a loss for any other ideas... :/ Carissa is afraid to toss, I might not let go in time ;) You say "Jr is really supposed to be a quick position, ICly there for apps to get to know their way around and learn the basic skills." Niobe says, in a nutshell, define basic skills, Annik. :) Carissa tickles the Niobe, "The things you're getting ahold of. Descing, +checking, basic creation and code.." You say "Just the very basics in each subcraft - what they're about, what they involve. ICly." You say "OOCly, it's different. As long as you know some inkling of code (or know who to ask) and a basic understanding of how to desc, you're fine." Niobe hmms. So it's both IC and OOC things... You say "All ranks are. :)" Carissa nods, "basically.. trying to get you out of the one-liner habit.." You say "That's why Jrs don't accept commissions. We have to know that you can do what you'll ideally be doing - commissions, which may involve coding/descing." Carissa mehs and bangs her head on the table. You say "And Smiths do a lot of code-oriented things, because we have to make things that 'work', if people want want them." Niobe ponders. So, does this mean if I read the whole freakin' series of Pern books, and developed a good understanding of the underlying themes behind each Weyr/Craft/Hold, i'd have a basic understanding of what it might be like to be a Smith (for a long example)? Carissa nods slowly, "Yeah.. that would do it.. maybe. Just don't read the renegades of Pern.. that'll just screw you up ;)" Niobe wanted to toss that one on the fire... :p You say "Not necessarily. You don't need to learn about all the other Holds/Halls/Weyrs. We want you character to know basic Smith skills, which is purely IC, and we want your player to learn basic MUSH skills." Carissa thinks a lot of them are fire worthy O.o I wanna rewrite them ;) Niobe yawns a little. So, have we given you any hard ideas, Annik? :) Carissa pokes her forehead and falls on her back.. ow Annik has ideas. I want feedback. As CM, I have try to make you all happy so that you'll enjoy being here and not let the craft die out. :) All Niobe knows for the moment is that she thinks Apprentice and Sr. Apprentice is a better way to go than the 3-step-system. ;) Carissa salutes and would never let it die? ;) You say "What if I did some experiments? Change it to less reqs for now, see how people like that, and go from there? If people still don't like it, we can look at getting rid of Jr. How's that sound?" Carissa likes that.. such a pain to get high in this place ;) (that's the dimatap talking..) Niobe says I don't think it could hurt, especially since it'd be a temp. thing if someone had a stroke over it. ;) Niobe needs to run... Have some other business to take care of on this night... :) Annik waves to Niobe. Night. Carissa nods and hugs, "night, Niobe.." Niobe waves! TTFN, Annik, carissa! Niobe goes home. Niobe has left. Annik hmms. What else? I'm going to ask people to send in descs for the festival thing. I want to have a table to show off our 'latest projects'. Carissa nods slowly and is trying to think of what to do next since I don't have to go to school really, I guess.. Carissa says "Leaves lots of desc writting time.." Annik nods. Ummm... Not really a whole lot else. Just looking for feedback and ideas for improvements around here, if we need them. Carissa nods and rubs her head. You say "That goes for anyone reading the log right now! Let me know if you've got ideas. :)" Carissa beams big at you, "Any news on.." Annik grins. On? Carissa hides, "C2.." Annik smiles. You'll just have to wait and see. Carissa pouts, "You haven't decided yet?" Annik might, and might not have. Just can't tell, yet. You say "Soon, though. :)" Carissa pouts s'more and alrights. Carissa beams, "When?" (all this is types while RL Risa coughs and grumbles in pain..) You say "There's no exact date, but soon." You say "Anything else to discuss?" Carissa considers and thinks, "Well, I was kinda thinking about what Niobe said, pulling people in from other games.." You say "Yeah?" Carissa thinks for awhile, "Well.. perhaps if we go for people who play on other games? I think the Pern people are pretty interwoven already, but people from, say, some odd place like Harry Potter.. or whereever people play, we might get a few people on?" Annik nods. Sure, if people want to recruit players from other games, I'll certainly support that. Carissa nods slowly Annik smiles. Any other thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Questions? Comments? Carissa rubs her neck and shakes her head, "No.. If I think of any, I'll ask.." You say "Okay, I'll end the meeting, then. Thanks for coming. :)" Carissa nods and hugs.
