OOC Meeting

Loft
Sacks of runner
feed, bales of hay and a pile of runner blankets fill about half of the loft.
Some used, worn saddles and other bits and pieces of tack are piled haphazardly
in one corner. A few glow baskets hang from the centerline of the roof/ceiling
to provide a small amount of light.
A ladder you can
'climb' down to the barn below is against the wall.
You go up the solid
looking wooden ladder bolted to the stone wall at the back of the barn and
enter the loft.
Smithcraft> Annik
says, "Okay, we'll have an OOC meeting in the loft. :)"
Smithcraft> Niobe
got her Dancing Dragon catalogue today. (Whee!) I want lots of stuff this time.

Annik wears silk
pajamas and has a nice supply of chocolate nearby.
Carissa sits with her
massive pez collection in her lap and puts away the 4 new dispensers she got
today and passes around the candy :P
Wen stretches out in
the hay. "Ahhh."
Carissa itches
Annik will have
dinner sometime today, really...

You say "Okay,
we're having an OOC meeting since we don't have any IC business to take care of
this time around."
Carissa whees.
Carissa gahs and
needs to go. My best friend is having a melt down.. --;
You say "First
off, there was a little IC meeting earlier today, but it was an informal
'lunch' type of thing."
Annik awwws.
Niobe says
"Bye, Rissa!"
Carissa snugs and will
be back later to read!
Carissa has
disconnected.
You say
"Anyway, there were a couple promotions there: Kuroyi to Sr App and Talbak
to Jman."
Niobe woots!
You say "And I
announced that Taria'll be posted back here for awhile. So that's pretty much
all of the IC stuff."
Niobe says "Has
Talbak decided where he's going yet?"
You say "Not
that I know of. I didn't have time to talk to him about it."
Niobe nods.
You say "So,
the major thing I wanted to discuss today is a TP that would involve re-doing
part of the hall."
Wen nods.
Niobe says "As
in refurbishing or re/building/?"
Annik nods.
"Updating and rebuilding part of it. I was reading the DLG awhile back and
noticed that it said the chem workshop is in its own building, which makes
sense. So I'd like to have the chem workshop set away from the rest of the work
hall and update the other workshops."
Niobe nods. Much
better if the chemicals (or apperntices using them) decide to go BOOM! ;)
Annik grins. Speaking
of which, I figure the easiest way to /need/ to rebuild that part of the hall
is to blow it up. ;)
Wen chuckles.
Niobe gurgles with
glee!
You say "It
would be a TP complete with explosion, creating new plans and designs, and a
long rebuilding process. There's a lot of room for cross-crafting, too."
Niobe says
"Healers, especially (first off)! ;D"
Annik nods. I'd have
it happen at a late hour, luckily when most people wouldn't be around, so there
wouldn't be a lot of major injuries, but still a few.
Niobe says "I
wonder how far our 'Big Bang' would be heard to?"
Wen says
"Something like that... maybe to the Weyr?"
Niobe peers at her
map. The infirmiry and bathing room are on either side of the chem. shop. Lots
of incidental damage to those... *nods to Wen* Something great to stir them up
for the TP! (Has delusions of a huge fireball!)
Annik hmms. Not sure
exactly, but to the NPC Telgar Hold at least, and maybe faintly to the Weyr.
Niobe says "If
the watchdragon sees it, the rest of the Weyr would know soon enough. ;)"
Annik nods. So,
sound good then? ;)
Niobe says
"Ayup."
Wen nodnods.
Annik grins. Good.
I'm not sure yet when this would happen, though probably not for several weeks
yet.
Niobe noddles. Best
for it to be in Summer, I guess.
Niobe says "IC
Summer, that is."
You say "It's
IC summer now, but it'll take some planning to get everything organized."
Niobe nods again.
You say
"Otherwise, not much going on. Any ideas for stuff we could do around
here?"
Wen thinks. Hmmmm.
Niobe says
"Would it too intensive/insane to suggest a Summer Smith Festival?"
Annik grins.
Wouldn't happen this summer, but I'm not sure about next summer. Depends on if
our TP is going on or not.
Niobe bops herself
on the forehead. Oh yeah.
Annik smiles. I'm
thinking about having a festival annually (in RL years) or possibly
bi-annually.
Niobe says "I
like the sound of that. :)"
You say "If it
were annual the next one would be in May, and bi-annual, it would be
Octoberish."
Wen nods.
Niobe giggles. Drunken
Smiths at Oktoberfest! ;D

"I've been looking over some different things... I'm snooping around sites
about physical properties of gold (and alloys)..."
Annik nods. Sounds
good.

"Also looking into different tools used to fashion jewelrt..."
Niobe says "Ek!

You say "As
long as it's metal jewelry. :)"
Niobe nods.

"Wax, wooden, metal hammers of various sizes... Chemicals for etchings;
tools for engravings, etc."
Annik nods. That'd
be interesting.
Niobe says "A
few other ideas, too - though the tools seem to be the most interesting so far.
:)"
You say "Well,
whenever you decide, just pick a time and post about it. :)"

nods. Thanks for holding two seperate meetings, Annik. Very kind of you to try
and accomodate different scheduals. :)

Annik smiles. No
problem. There's such a split in timezones that it's more beneficial to
everyone that way. :) Anyhow, I should get going.

gavel and adjourns the meeting.
