THE VETERANS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The San Lorenzo High School Veterans Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in the fall of 1999 in honor of our fallen veterans. It is presented to a San Lorenzo High School student who performs outstanding community or volunteer service. The requirements for this scholarship include:
The applications are reviewed by the Veterans Memorial Team members. The team members make the recommendation as to the recipient of the scholarship. This recommendation must then be reviewed by the DECA advisor and the project advisor in accordance with school district policy.
In addition, a portion of the money raised will be donated to the Alameda County Commission for Veterans Affairs for use in aiding veterans in Alameda County.
Donations are always accepted. Donations should be made out to San Lorenzo High School. Please mark on the check "Veterans Memorial Fund". There is another memorial fund at San Lorenzo High School honoring a former teacher.
