Other: Her family was killed when she was 3 because Voldermont was attempting to replenish his power supply. No one knows this except for Dumbledore, Hagrid and eventually Oliver because she ended up befriending him. She lived with Hagrid until she was old enough to attend the school. She has no other friends besides Oliver. She's very respectable to all her teachers, including Snape, and no one can really yell at her because she's just has that sort of personality about her. She can weasel her way out of trouble because she has spent so much time observing others.
