| Bakersfield Californian, Saturday, December 27, 1958 Combee, Walter - Funeral services for Mr. Walter Combee, 66, were held today at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the H.R. Borgsdorf Mortuary. Mr. Wayne Devin of Jehovah's Witnesses officiated and interment followed in Bakersfield Memorial Park (NOTE: now a part of Union Cemetery). Mr. Combee was a native of Kansas and had lived in Arvin for 24 years, residing at 401 Walker St. at the time of his death. Mr. Combee, a retired painting contractor, died December 24. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Combee; a daughter, Mrs. Annie Ruth Stone of San Diego; a son, Bob Isom of Magalia; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Pallbearers were Roy Flowers, Jess Haley, C. Wilson, Reford Hatridge, Ben Royal and Clyde Shaw. Sharon Kern Co Volunteer Walter loved to go fishing. |
