Mary's London photojournal (4c) - 12.05.06

12 May (Friday) continued.

More from the "Haunted London" tour, including our tour guide, Corinna; several churches that I don't remember what was special about them, except that they were probably commissioned by Sir Christopher Wren; and a part of the original London Wall built by the Romans.

I took up the tube again at Barbican when the tour was over. I was starving so I stopped by Yo Sushi! again and fortified myself with lots of good green tea and a couple plates of sushi. Ah, it's always good to have good sushi. Even thought there wasn't a single Japanese worker in the whole place (my waiter was Russian, and the cooks were Korean).

By that time, it had been a week since I'd be home in good ol' Washington, D.C., and I was tired of being the studious traveler trying to make my trip an "education." After my splurge at Yo Sushi!, I took a long hot shower, and tucked myself into bed watching Late Night with Jools Holland. I wish we had shows like this in America - several great music acts all on one show, on a Friday night so you don't have to worry about getting up the next day.

The weekend promised more fun. For that night, I was satisfied with falling asleep after watching another episode of "The Vault" - filled with British-isms like "lovely jubbly!"
