The Slutty Mario's Story
During the summer of 1996 in El Paso, Texas two young men, we'll call them "Jizzy" and "Junior"*, were sitting around doing nothing at all. They had a lot of time to sit around because it was summer and instead of getting summer jobs they decided to spend their summer playing stick ball by day and partying by night. One day they made a deal with each other, they said that one day they would have their own "bachelor pad". And in this bachelor pad they would have a bar. The two guys went even as far as to plan out the smallest details, like how they would cover the floor of this bar with Astro-turf. The likelyhood of this great idea becoming a reality seemed slim as these two friends moved away from El Paso after graduating high school. But by a miraculous twist of fate these two best friends were reunited in Binghamton, New York. They took this as a sign from God that their plan must become a reality. After finding the perfect place they worked all summer to construct the bar. The bar was very close to the origional idea thought up by the two guys nearly four years earlier, right down to the Astro-turf. Upon completing the bar a name had to found for this new bar. They decided to name it after their best friend who still resides in El Paso. The friend had become quite the "player" after high school, some might even call him a "male slut" as he could often be seen with a different young lady than the one you saw him with just that morning. "Jizzy" and "Junior" were very proud of their best friend. And the perfect name was chosen, "Slutty Mario's Cantina".
