In the past month alone, the murders of three transgendered prostitutes have been reported:

Bella Evangelista was murdered on August 16th, 2003 in Washington DC
Emonie Spaulding was murdered on August 20th, 2003 in Washington DC
Cassandra “Tula” Do was murdered on August 23rd, 2003 in Toronto.

In honour of the transsexual women of colour at Stonewall who kicked off a party, a riot, and a movement with a well-placed stiletto-heel to the head. In honour of the motley crew of pirates of different races who sabotaged slave ships, made off with the booty and vowed to live short but merry lives. The ass pirates say, give ‘er.

The lineup ended up changing some, i can't remember the details,
but for sure hollie brown from vancouver did play and
the only 2 people left standing might not have.
I can't find any pics of that night, except for this one from
the very beginning when our dear friend Hollie played some
songs (including a fabulously queered-up acoustic cover of
Quiet Riot's "Come on feel the noise"!)
