this is basically what i think about the black and blue album...
i absolutely am lovin' this album i have to say... basically the best stuff i have heard from them so far. lemme break it down for ya...
the call
shape of my heart
get another boyfriend
shining star
i promise you (with everything i am)
the answer to our life
everyone
more than that
time
not for me
yes i will
it's true
what makes you different (makes you beautiful)
how did i fall in love with you
there you have it. thank you and have a nice day...
this song is bad ass! it rocks. my bro loves to jam to this in his jeep. i notice bri doesn't get a lot of singing time in this song... but hey. aj has a really sexy voice and we get to hear a LOT of it. always a good thing.
we have heard this song quite a bit already. it has a certain reminiscent charm of "i want it that way" making it destined to be a huge hit. a song you can't stop singing no matter how much you may want to.
what a message huh? this song definitely has that "don't want you back"-esque quality, but like howie said, it takes it a step further. i can see why this would be aj's favorite though. this time we'll get it to be a single. this song will get lot's of air time.
this song is thus far my least favorite on the album. but it's still excellent. especially when you throw in that nick and howie co-wrote it. it definitely has that cheesy feel to it.
you know when backstreet said they were going to put country on their album you cringed a little. and the second i heard this song i was like "yep this is it." and i was all set for the cheesy heart breaking country lyrics... it didn't come. this song has some real soul behind it. a song to be sung at many weddings to come.
i am not the only one that had a crazy look on their face when they heard this right? this is the cheesiest most sugar coated song on the album. but it has one of my favorite parts on it. so i gotsta love it.
right away i loved this song. definitely a song for the fans. if this doesn't become a single it would be a crime. i especially like the circus music. whose genius bright idea was that (twenty bucks says brian... he's thinkin' of everything).
this has got to be the most powerful ballad on the album. i love these lyrics to death. this is my fave so far. not much i can say about it though.
this would be the song about the progression of backstreet. i could just see a music video for this song. it would have this great time warp. just the boys sitting around watching old home movies or something. and it even has some hints for the fans too.
this is an excellent song. i think it had a long time coming too. at first when i had read the lyrics i was thinkin' "dear god this song is gonna be horrible." just cuz of the whole "no no uh uh" thing. very different.
oh my goodness. never knew aj had so much writing talent. i think this is the most matrimonious song on the album. what does that mean you may ask? i think it is a song that would be a number one pick of mine to be sung when i get married. i mean think of it (... and someday start a family with you).
here's another song that we have heard a lot of. this song seems like they're really trying to convince this chick that they really love them and only them. kevin co-wrote it and it does seem to resemble that "back to your heart" feel that only he can do so well...
that's right... i got the wal-mart copy. howie can write some really beautiful songs. they really got a problem with nick singin' don't they? he get's that one "oooh" part and he's done? it's all good though because i love to hear brian's voice.
am i the only one it occured to that howie likes to write songs with REALLY long titles? i love this song. not as much as socy does... but then i'm not in love with howie either. i think they need to let howie out of his cage and let him sing more...
