Born July 15, 1914 in Fillmore, UT to Katherine Woodhouse and William Hans Rasmussen. He was sealed for time and all eternity to Nina Ashby March 22, 1944 in the Manti LDS Temple. He served in the Eastern States Mission for three years, after which he studied Engineering at the University of Utah. He then served as a glider pilot in Europe during World War II, 1942-1945. He loved his job as a manager for the Hearst Corporation for 40 years. He served in many church positions, including as a missionary with his sweetheart in the Florida Tallahassee Mission. He was President of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, the Lions Club and was a volunteer on Temple Square and at the Salt Lake City Airport. He loved gardening in his famous vegetable garden, working, traveling, driving and being with his family. He is survived by his wife; seven children and their spouses, Julian (Maxine), Jane Harrington (Robert), Katherine McQueen (James), Sterling (Cheryl), Eric (Robynn), Rodney (Barbara), Jill Latimer (Brandt); 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Melba Frazier, Shirley Clark, Mary Louise Rasmussen, Roene Whitney, Beverly Dutson, Drew, Roberta Rasmussen, Donald, Frances Chamberlain, Marsha Whatcott. Services will be 12 noon Wed. July 31, Valley View 10th Ward Chapel, 2000 E. and 3900 S. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m., Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S.
