JOURNAL

Faith and Apologetics attempts to answer our questions of whether there is a God. It looks into whether there are reasons to believe and do we have faith in God. There are several arguments by people such as Paley to the exsistence of a God which tries to help us in our faith.

I want to remember the human portrait of Jesus as portrayed in the Synoptic gospels and the video we watched because it helps me identify more with Jesus by making me realize he was a human just like we were, yet still obeyed God. He, like us, had struggles, but he stuck to his faith.

I want to remember the Kalam Argument because it seems to be one of the most convincing arguments for God's existence. It says that everything that begans to exist has a cause outside of itself. The universe began to exist so therefore must have a cause by an intelligent designer. The university began to exist, or it always existed. Logically, it had to have a beggining.

I want to remember the existence of a moral law argument from C.S. Lewis because I find it convincing because everyone seems to live by certain universal moral codes and law. If there is a universal moral law, then there must be a universal lawmaker, who must be God.

I believe Jesus is both human and divine. I believe that Jesus himself had struggles and was tempted to sin, but stayed true to his faith and trusted in God. Jesus was the greatest moral teacher that there ever was. He taught people to love and care for each other. He also brought people to trust in a loving God, and taught them not to fear the Lord.
