The Human Jesus
Web Assignment
10 point web page entitled “The Human Jesus.”
The assignment is to look at Jesus the human person, before all the Theology came about. Look at what he said and did. Who is this man? What were his key teachings? What did he live for? What can we learn from him about faith?
Reflect upon the human Jesus. First remember all you've learned about him throughout your life. Reflect upon the time Jesus struggles, when he suffers, when he doubts--aren't these the times we see him as most human? I'd urge you to take 15-20 minutes, go to the chapel, sit in the front row and contemplate Jesus on the cross. Let ideas and questions come to you. Consider ideas from the readings we take: New Testament (especially the Gospel we read), from O’Malley, from the video, and from “The Jews News.”
You must have an image of Jesus on your web page. This should be an image that means something to you and that ilustrates to you the human Jesus. Convey the human Jesus as best you can on a web site. Be creative. Check with me for help.
