HMW: Read and study Introduction/Chapter One. Test on Thursday. I've recommended you use the five step method for really getting an assigned reading. You are assigned to be able to show a process of active reading, i.e. some real and concrete evidence of work done, e.g. book marked, set of notes. Minimally try this 5 step method.
Begin to read the Gospel of Matthew. Take one page (one side) of notes.
Suggested schedule:
Wednesday in class: read Matthew 1,1 to 4,17 the birth of Jesus and the beginning of His ministry and 4,18 to 9,38 The Sermon on the Mount and miracles in Galilee
Wednesday for homework: 10, 1 to 12, 50 teaching on the mission and rejection
13,1 to 17,27 parables on the kingdom of Heaven, the disciples' acknowledging Jesus as the Messiah
Thursday in class: 18,1 to 20, 34 teaching about community and forgiveness
and 21,1 to 25,46 teaching about the coming destruction, conflicts with Jewish leaders in Jerusalem
Thursday for homework: finish Gospel: 26,1 to 28,20 Jesus' death and resurrection.
HMW: continue to read and take some notes on the Gospel of Matthew.

Test chapter 7.
Finish Portrait of a Radical video; seek student response. Talk about what comes after Jesus' crucifixion, which leads into the last two chapters of the text.
Skim over the first half of Acts and talk about the change in the Apostles, Peter at the Temple steps, the matrydom of Stephen and the Council of jerusalem.
HMW: Begin to R/M/S Chapter Eight. Use chapter 8 review to guide your study.
HMW: Prepare for exam. This review can be a very important of learning and retaining important ideas and skills learned in class. All extra credit due by tomorrow.
