INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW TESTAMENT

Probable Course Outline & Grading Assignments

Students read, journal and are tested on nine chapters of text: Journey Through the New Testament by Teresa LaCompte and The Bible.
Students read the entire Gospel of Matthew and do a web page summary of it.
Students learn to read Scripture on Three Levels.
They also learn Fr. Joe Tetlow's Praying With Scriptures and the methods of contemplation, meditation and consideration.
Students learn how to organize their notes in a three ring binder and learn how to correect their quizzzes and tests and learn from mistakes.
Students improve their web site creation skills.
Students are taught how to read and interpret Scripture according to Church teaching The Interpretation of the Bbile in the Church. Key ideas summarized in Ten Commandments for Studying the Bible.
