Faith Web Assignments for Major Each Section of the Course
August 2007
These are the web assignments for each section of the course. Web assignments must be done as web pages. These must written in HTML (DO NOT USE PAGEBUILDER! These must be on the web and linked on the day due. A hard copy MUST be handed in on day due.
If you have a diferrent idea about to capture key ideas or delve more deeply in the subject, please come to me. All contracts ahve to be approved before and early I am very open to you devising your own assignment and contracting with me, but this has to be approved.
Web assignment for the second major section:
The Human Condition
Choose ONE of these options (or suggest your own). It is due on the section test day at the beginning of class. Do this as a web site. Link it to your home page and hand in a hard copy on test day.
- Literary or Cinematic: Is there a literary work or a movie that really illustrates thekey ideas of this section? If you have a good one, create a web site on this. Briefly retell the key and pertinent elements of the story and explain how it how it illustrates the key ideas, using the key ideas and terms of the section.
- Intellectual and objective. Create a web on an "Organization of Faith." Choose one group that dedicates much of their time, talents and treasure to help others. Write a description of the group, its history, its purpose. List some of the group's accomplishments. Include a picture; link and/or attribute the source. Include links.
- Artistic and Creative: My Cave Begin with your own experience, but retell or recreate the allegory of the cave in a modern way. Do this in a way that may be more meaning ful for SLUH students in 2007.
- Contract Coming up with your own section assignment that helps you better delve into and understand the key concepts of the section is encouraged. Present this in a way that will help your classmates, will help your web page readers, understand better.
