class Collect bookmarks. (1) Review and go over how to write an essay (2) discuss and answer "Why is it important for Christians to understand Judaism?"
homework 20 point essay due on Wednesday. Give three important ideas you have learned in this class. These can come from anything we have covered: religious content, prayer and Bible, study and organizational ideas, anything. then give one important idea you have learned at SLUH from anywhere else. Be cleal about what you learned, where you learned it, why it's important.
Tuesday, October 10
class Return and go over tests. Give students a way to study for the exam.
homework Correct and learn from your mistakes on the test. Finish your "4 important ideas learned" assignment due tomorrow.
Wednesday, October 11
class "How to prepare for this exam." homework Study for the exam. Do it little by little. Center on 1st QTR Freshman Review Questions and past tests and assignments.

Examples of well-written essays: Let's try Mr. Nicollerat's "4 suggestions about how to make freshman year good"
and make this week's prayer an active one.
So take some time, refect upon these and try to apply these:
1. Do the best you can-including preparing the best you can!
2. Try to put God in whatever you do.
3. When you do something, try to do it for someone else.
4. When you foul up, learn how to forgive yourself.

homework 10 point homework assignment. Create a bookmark. Make this a real sacramental; a sign of God's love and grace. This must have some words on it--and any words on this must be typed. The ideas should come from this class. Give significant ideas that you want to ber reminded of regularly. You should consider going to Kinko�s and getting your bookmark laminated.

homework Continue to learn about the Life of Ignatius. Go to Ideals of Jesuit Education page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and write the Key terms in your spiral notebook--just write the key terms.

Thursday or Friday, September 21/22 block schedule. Receive and complete Ignatius worksheet. Discuss Ignatius and his life. Begin 10 point homework assignment due Monday: Write an essay explaining how the life of Ignatius of Loyola illustrates a major idea of the text/course. You need to do two things in this paper. First state the key idea as clearly and completely as possible. Then show how the life of Ignatius illustrates this key idea. Type it if you can. Spell check it. Have someone proofread it before you hand it in.

(2) If you have access to the Internet at home, log in to Freshman Theology site and show it to your parents. If they don't know how to do this, teach them.
(3) Read introductory pages for the course.
(4) Come to next class ready to go, with pencil case, folder (with course guidelines and prayer sheet and loose leaf paper in the folder), spiral notebook and Zanzig text.
