Homework Essay due on Wednesday. Reread section on "Christian Response to Tragedy." Write a two paragraph essay similar to last one. First paragraph summarize the key ideas from the text about the response to tragedy and suffering. Then write a paragraph showing how this is, or is not, demonstrated in the video.

Homework (1) Read cover to pg 13 in Zanzig; be ready for a quiz. Know the key ideas of the text. (2) Find our what this symbol means and why. Where is this on our campus? It will be on tomorrow's practice quiz.

(4) Hand out Intro booklet and go over How to Get Off to a Good Start. Note some of the advice pages, from recent seniors and from recent freshmen.
homework (1) Skim "Class of 2010" booklet and let show this to your parents. They were given a short version of these at the Orientation Day meeting. This a lot of good advice here compiled from people who are here to help you succeed. (2) Look over the course webs site, bookmark it and show it to you parents if you did not do this last night.

Friday, August 25
class (1) Begin spiral notebook. Practice quiz. 2) First reading from Direction Day Masses: one body, many parts (1 Cor 12, 12-31) Readings are themes for freshman year (and beyond... (4) Assign the Parent Interview.
Homework: Begin
parent interview assignment . First step is merely giving the letter to your parent and setting up a time for the interview. Bring home letter to your parents and give it to them. If there is anything you are uncomfortable with and want to discuss, see me outside of class. Make sure you bring your assignment book to class.

When you do not have any specific homework in a subject, still give 10-15 minutes.
Take care of what you did not do or need to do. Learn what you missed.
Go over and review all you have done and learned.
