Write a two paragraph essay similar to last one. First paragraph summarize the key ideas from the text about the response to tragedy and suffering. Then write a paragraph showing how this is, or is not, demonstrated in the video.

Get ready for tomorrow's class. Bring one two envelop folder with about 10 sheets of looseleaf paper and the handouts you received today in it. Bring in a single subject, new spiral notebook. Note to my first period class: Yes, get one of these spiral notebooks and bring it to class tomorrw. I know in class I said you don't need this but you do. Sorry. If you did your homework, you will see this! Also bring your Understanding Catholic Christianity text and writing utensils.
Bring home letter to parents packet. Read over it with a parent. At least skim over each page; read what catches your eye. This is important homework.
Have your parent/s sign any packet/handout they have gone over with you.
Bring home and read handout "Class Guidelines & Expectations" with your parents. You are expected to know these and let these guide your behavior. Ask any questons tomorrow. Visit my Freshman Theology Course Home Page and bookmark it. Show this to your parents. Check out my course website, especially this first quarter assignment page. I want them to know they can look up what we are doing and what the homework is anytime they want. You all can look at my "All-Stars" and see the semester grades for my freshmen. If you do not have the internet at home, you can do this in our library.

They were given a short version of these at the Orientation Day meeting. This a lot of good advice here compiled from people who are here to help you succeed. (2) Look over the course webs site, bookmark it and show it to you parents if you did not do this last night.

Homework: Begin parent interview assignment . First step is merely giving the letter to your parent and setting up a time for the interview. Bring home letter to your parents and give it to them. If there is anything you are uncomfortable with and want to discuss, see me outside of class. Make sure you bring your assignment book to class.
When you do not have any specific homework in a subject, still give 10-15 minutes. Take care of what you did not do or need to do. Learn what you missed. Go over and review all you have done and learned.
