Question: Answer the question, "Who do you say that I am?" with the best stories and pictures that you know. Only choose five or six, and write a paragraph on each.

I would say that Jesus is someone who can be seen as a couple of different people. I would say that Jesus could be seen as a priest, prophet, king, man, God, and friend.

Jesus can be seen as a priest in the gospels very easily. One of the ways that he can be seen in this way comes from the gospel of Luke 2:41-52. The story that I have chosen is the one in which Jesus gets lostin the temple in Jerusalem, and his parents could not find him for 3 days. The general outline of the story goes like this. Joseph, Mary, and Jesus were going down to Jerusalem to worship in the temple. When they were going to go home, Jesus remained in the temple, but Mary and Joseph did not know where he was. Mary and Joseph looked around frantically, and after 3 days of searching, they found Jesus in the temple talking to the teachers and asking them questions. Everyone was astounded with Jesus;s knowledge of scripture, but Mary and Joseph wanted to know why he did not come home with them. Jesus responed to them, "Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" And so, they went home to Nazereth.

I like this passgae because it shows that even at an early age, Jesus was showing signs that he was the Messiah. Only the Messiah would know scripture that well. Yet, I really like that even as a young child, Jesus was able to know himself that well. I do not even know myself that well. Yet, only a priest wold know the scriptures well enough to dazzle the teachers of the scriptures; thus, Jesus portrays a priest excellently, even at an early age. I also like the idea that a young person can change the thoughts of many. I like how the story can tell you that even a small kid, can make people think diferentlyabout young people.

This picture displays how Jesus preached that he could rebuild the temple in 3 days.

Jesus is a King to me because he was the Son of God, who reigns with God forever and ever. This song depicts my feelings about this to some degree. The song is He Reigns. I cannot find the actual song, so here are the lyrics

Our God is an awesome God, he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love, Our God is an awesome God.
Our God is an awesome God, he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love, Our God is an awesome God.
Your marvelous and your glorious. Your love has made me victorious. You took away the fear in us; now we praise you cause you delivered us! There ain't no stoopin' us! (NO!) Devil there aint no blockin' us! (NO!) Come on and clap your hands with us! (Like this yall, like that yall!)
He Reigns! He Reigns! He Reigns! He Reigns!
He Reigns! He Reigns! He Reigns! Forever and Ever! He Reigns! He Reigns! He Reigns!
Our God is an awesome God, he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love, Our God is an awesome God.
Our God is an awesome God, he reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love, Our God is an awesome God.

I see Jesus as a man when I read the story about when Jesus got angry in the temple. Jesus went to the temple, when he found in infested with merchants all over the place. Jesus turned over the tables, and he did not even think twice about do it. Jesus did this for a good reason though. Most of the merchannts in the temple would cheat people out of money that they owed them. Thus, it was just.

I quote Mr. Matt Stewart when I have trouble seeing God as a man, "We just have to see Jesus like one of the guys. A guy that gets attracted to girls. A guy that farts after eating Taco Bell. And so on and so on."

I see Jesus as God whenever I read the Gospel of John. The Gospel of John is the primary book that portrays Jesus as very God-like. Jesus even openly admits to the Smaritan woman that he is the Messiah. While this Jesus does get on my nerves sometimes because he seems to know everything, we just have to realize that he does know everything because he is God.

I see Jesus as a friend because he died for me when he was on the cross. I was Jesus himself who had said that there was no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend. I truly believe that he meant that to the utmost, too. Even though, I do not see him, like most other friendships, I still take comfort that he will be there for me whenever I need him, like a best friend.
