Anubis/Shuten
This character is from the anime Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. This is his monk outfit. It is seen after Shuten changes his ways from evil and decides to follow the monk Kaosu.This costume was the first that I made most of myself. I had learned from making Chichiri that I should make as much of my costume as I could. I decided that this wasn't going to be a difficult costume. I found a pattern for a kimono and was able to alter that just a bit so that it worked. I was lucky in finding really great fabric at Wal*mart. They just happened to have some kimono silk in nearly the correct color.
My step-father helped me a lot with this costume. In fact he did most of the sewing but I was there and did a lot of ironing on the seams.
I found the socks on eBay, I made the Staff, the hat was a gift, and I altered the shoes. Everything else I made.
The most annoying things about this costume are the arm and leg wrappings. (The arm wrappings aren't shown.) I haven't managed to find a way that I like to wear them for any time at all.
