Hi there Chickadees! This is BONNIE, your Globe Trotting Clucker reporting in with my slant on our Trip to Baltimore, MD for the 1st Annual Ty Collectibles Convention. My Tail Feathers are still in a spin from this whirlwind leg of my journey.

Momma SLUGGY and I left the snowy mountains of Pennsylvania early on Friday morning, March 12th heading to Trenton, New Jersey for our rendez-vous with SONNY. Of course, en route we passed a ZANY BRAINY and Sluggy forgot to turn off the automatic ZB pilot so we made a brief stop to hunt for some of my fellow Attic critters.

We finally arrived at the Kardas Homestead on Clinton St. about two hours late. Blame the snow squall Mamma says! We were greeted by a nice group of youths on the corner of this fair city playing very loud music for our arrival....how sweet! A couple of them were looking at me a little too intently with visions of potato salad and biscuits in their eyes so we beat a hasty path to the Kardas Estate door for my reunion with PAPA SONNY.
After quick greetings SONNY helped SLUGGY load up her critters in his van and we were off, heading South on I-95. Just before we left the overpopulated shores of NJ, SLUGGY made SONNY pull off the highway for a quick rest stop at NJ's only CRACKER BARREL. This was PAPA SONNY's first visit to a CB and he seemed to enjoy the homespun shopping experience. He even adopted a couple of Bunnies there.

Mama SLUGGY, my bodyguard for the trip CODY, and I relaxed on the porch for a spell and we promised SONNY next time we would actually have some "vittles" at CB as he seemed interested in tasting some OKRA.


We finally arrived at the Marriott in Balto. and checked into our room. SONNY was worn out from the trip. All those stops for COFFEE and MUNCHIES and toting all those bags of A&W ROOT BEARS back to the van must have taken a toll on his energy! He took a nap as I stood guard and Mama SLUGGY went downstairs to stretch her legs and have a look around.
After scoping out the vendor's showroom SLUGGY made a couple of attempts to rouse "Sleeping SONNY Beauty". SLUGMAMA gave up, called KAREN who had just gotten into Baltimore at the Marriott down the street and arranged to meet later. She then left me and CODY to keep an eye on SONNY while she attended the RUTH FRASER SEMINAR.
