| Altiplano |
| The Altiplano is the high plateau formed from a sediment filled depression between the Cordilleras Oriental and Occidental in the Andes, stretching into Peru. The lowest point of the altiplano is Lake Titicaca, which drains by Desaguadero River into Lake Poopo. This region is very dry and have several large salt flats, but is a cool climate throughout the year due to the altitude (12,000 ft.). |
