Canada
After serving my NS (National Service), I managed to end up in Canada in the fall of '87 to do Grade 13 at the Great Lakes College of Toronto (GLCT). Got accepted into McMaster University (Mac) for the fall of '88. Many years of fun later, I graduated in the fall of '93 (I was really reluctant to leave) and came home then.

What did I learn there?
Well, that I learn best when I'm having fun and that concentrating on studying is a really fast way for me to fail, Multiculturalism and the importance of having historical roots (much thanks to students from the First Nations), the environment and human short-sightedness (thanks to the Earth Action gang), Christian ecumenicalism and radicalism (thanks to IVCF and Aren the Christian Reformed chaplain), dancing (thanks Kim and Ed), and the beauty of nature (thanks God!).

I'm still homesick for Ontario so I visit Canadian links a lot. Here are some of them:
MuchMusic which is far better than MTV;
a selection of radio stations;
toronto.cam courtesy of the Toronto Star.

Canadian media websites:
The Toronto Star;
The Globe and Mail;
The Toronto Sun;
The Hamilton Spectator;
CityTV.

And here are the lyrics to the national anthem, O Canada

Finally, special thanks to people who still keep in touch: Susan, Marimo, Janet, Mary and Susie.
