Leptobrachium nigrops English: Black-eyed Litter Frog Habitat: Common forest floor inhabitant in all Singapore forests. Larvae found in clear stagnant water or streams. Behaviour: Evenings to nocturnal. Calls heard in afternoon prior to rain. It likes to play dead when handled. Diagnosis: Small size (4.5cm), weak (small) limbs and spotted pattern on the side between fore and back limbs. Status: Common in Central Catchment Area and BTNR. |
