南音@天福宫 (Nanyin Performance @ Thian Hock Keng) Wed 1 Aug 2007 Another 南音 performance at Thian Hock Keng. Seems a tradition for the Hokkien Huay Kuan to hold an evening 南音 performance on the three Kuan Yin festival dates every year (2M19, 6M19 & 9M19). The next performance should be Mon 29 Oct. There are always bats at every evening performance. They appear to reside under the ceiling: Think they are fruit bats but not sure which species.
