The first two tracks have already been released in the "Ember Glance" boxed set. The third track was created for the multi-media installation "Redemption" set up by David Sylvian and Robert Fripp at the P3 Art and Environment, Tochji Zen Temple, Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo from Aug. 30 - Oct. 12, 1994.

Spelling troubles: 1) The song Thalheim is twice misspelled on the album. 2) It's "Godman" on the back and "God Man" inside the booklet. The EP adds "GodMan" to the confusion. 3) The back says "All of my Mother's names" while inside the booklet the track is called "All of My Mothers names".

Words with the Shaman EP (1985)

Part 1 Ancient Evening
Part 2 Incantation
Part 3 Awakening (Songs from the Treetops)
musicians: Jon Hassell, Steve Jansen, Holger Czukay (rec. London '85)

There are at least two versions of this record (German pressing). Record sleeve, labels and record number are identical. Look for the numbers encarved in the vinyl to distiguish the different versions.
The number on the sleeves: 602 066-213 (both the same)
The numbers in the vinyl:

DM 602066 A-1/85S I
DM 602066 B-
1/85S I
(A side: pt.1+ pt.2+ pt.3       B side:
Preparations for a Journey)

DM 602066 A-2/85S I
DM 602066 B-
2/85S I
(A side: pt.1+ pt.2              B side: pt.3)

It seems as if they corrected the mistake in the second pressing. The B side label of both records state "Part3: Awakening" BUT with the wrong time length of 3:37, which is in fact the length of "Preparations for a Journey". "Awakening" is 5:16 long.
There should be a Japanese 12" that also plays "Steel Cathedrals". Confused?

Brilliant Trees (1984)

1.Pulling Punches
2.The Ink in the Well
3.Nostalgia
4.Red Guitar
5.Weathered Wall
6.Backwaters
7.Brilliant Trees
