8-02-04 Back in Action

Well its august, and we're back in action (hence the title). Anyways, we picked up a trombone. Pretty neat, and the trombone came with a kid to play it. His name's will and he should and he should be a great addition to the horns. We're gonna get back into the swing of practices as often as Johns mommy will let us. Looks like the September 10 show is gonna happen. Thanks for your support

6-25-04 Breaking the Silence

ok, well summer isn't doin us good. due to conflicting schedules, we will be putting practices on hold until further notice. Hopefully we will still be able to play the September show. But as for now, we're enjoying the vacation and we'll get back to work in August. Until later,

6-17-04 New show

well yeah, theres a new show up. on the events board thing. check it out, its in a long time, but i figure i'd put it up now so you all get excited. it probly wont work, but you never know. in other news, we're still practicing, writing, and preparing to record. it's not coming as soon as we'd hoped, but it's still in our future. thanks for your support.

5-22-04 Show

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us tonight, we had fun and hope you did to. We're looking to hook up for another show with Hindsight Byass in the near future. We'll keep you posted. Also, We plan to start recording a demo within the next month or so. Should be fun.

Yep, the pictures are up. Check em out. Theyre just practice pics, so most of the time we were just screwin around. Hopefully we'll get some pictures up after the show. But just in case we dont, you'd better come see us in person.

5-02-04 New, new, new!

Ok, so here's whats new. NEW material. NEW drum heads (for john). NEW event, in the NEW events section. check it out. if you come to the show you can see our new material, hopefully johns new heads, which wont be all that new by that point, and us, for the first time. should be pretty ill. im pumped.

4-24-04 Updates...

Alright so here's whats goin on.. got some new bands up, check em out. We've been practicing as much as possible, and writin new material. We've been havin some issues with lyric writing, and thats slowed our progress, but with some new technique, we feel as though we'll be getting better, faster. All good news. Thanks for takin the time to check us out, hopefully we'll have some music and pictures and whatnot up soon. Keep checkin back.

4-14-04 First Post!

Hooray! So the posting begins. First and foremost, thanks SO MUCH to tierney for all your hard work and effort in creating the site. It's great! So here comes our introduction. We're Slow Children Playing, and we don't yet have a genre. I guess we consider ourselves a ska band, but we really just play whatever we feel like playing. So yeah, theres bios and stuff in the little scroll bar thing on the right. Thats kinda neat. Hopefully we'll have additional pages up soon. Maybe over vacation. In the mean time, everything goes out here. We have one cover, being 99 red balloons. It's fun. We also have one original thats pretty much finished. We may try to work out some kinks, but for the most part, its a full song. Hopefully we'll progress quickly and set up some shows and stuff. Well thanks to all our loyal fans (being our close friends, because nobody else knows we're a band) for checkin out the site, and come back soon for updates... and stuff.
