Before using the software downloads presented in this site (Dictionaries), please find couple of minutes to read our copyright notice. Be sure you can understand it though it is completely expressed in English.
By downloading and installing them in your computer or by opening their contents by any other means you automatically agree with the following,
1. Dictionaries are protected by the Law of the Russian Federation On Copyright and Related Rights from where the webmaster is originated and the corresponding law of the visitor country.
2. Dictionaries are only distributed by Dictionary Team members in form of a solid (nondivisible) language packages which may or may not include the program. The program can be either included in each package or distributed separately. None of these options affects the authors' rights, they only demonstrate a personal preference of a Team member who makes the final decision about the preferred form. In the most cases the language packs are distributed through the Internet however this does not exclude usage of other media if found suitable by author(s).
3. Dividing the complete package into separate parts regardless of their size or distributing its components separately is a violation of authors' rights. Distributing the packages from other sites is also a violation of authors' rights.
4. The rights for the language package are divided between the author(s) of software and the author(s) of vocabularies (wordlists).
4a. The copyright to the original Dictionary software program belongs to Tom van der Meijden since 1998. The copyright to the language adaptations belongs to the coresponding software designers who made that in the approved order. An approval should be obtained from the Dictionary Team who distributes the language packages.
4b. A single program in a user computer can control several vocabularies (wordlists) each having its own copyright. To get the copyright for a wordlist no approval is needed, it is enough to make the own onet.
5. Copies of separate individual entries of a vocabulary can be made for personal usage.
5. In case of referencing, the link to the original web page of the corresponding vocabulary must be included.
6. Any other form of usage of language packs is not permitted without a prior allowance of author.
7. This does not restrict the rights of authors to make some other independent lingual/software production by their own way. This situation however falls outside the scope of the current Copyright Notice and is subjected to the personal responsibility of the corresponding authors, on the individual basis. While one form found suitable by an author, the other form(s) of usage must be confirmed by a signed agreement between the author and the other party.
