This is a 1/24th scale Slot Version of the car driven by Juan Manuel Fangio, 1 of the all time great racing drivers. Car was made from a 60's SMER kit that I bought off e-bay . The chassis is also of 60's vintage - Dynamic. It has Al Penrose's superb BWA wheels and Ortmann Rubber. I built this to Race in the 2003 Bordeaux International Vintage meet held annually in June the week before Le Mans. Looked superb - but was too slow against some of the 'slot cars' ...... The model features a removeable engine hood with a full replica motor underneath. |
