Remember September 11, 2001?
Everybody does.
Remember our President askng us to display the American Flag as an act of DEFIANCE and
a show of our strength?
Everybody did.
Jeeziz! This little town had American Flags everywhere!
Waving in front yards and hanging from every light pole on Main Street.
They were nailed to front porches and glued to the back of T-shirts and fastened to every bicycle handle-bar in the county.
The parking lot at work....all you could see were American Flags waving in the breeze.
You know, the ones you just slipped over the radio antenna.
GOD!!! I felt good about all this shit!
We are finally going to unify as a nation!
Everybody is a Patriot!
But where are the flags, now?
Where's the unity?
Where are the Patriots?
It's only February!
Five months ago this Nation was attacked by a bunch of punks and several thousand of our brothers and sisters were killed.
Immediately we all joined together for a universal cause!
But now, only five months later,
the flags are almost all gone!
DID WE FORGET?
By God,
I haven't!
