Perfect Dark 2

Never mind Perfect Dark Zero, here's a pet project of mine.  I've been working on my own sequel to Perfect Dark using the Genesis3d engine (which is what made games such as AVP).  Since hearing that Microsoft bought out Rare and all of it's projects, I've been rather disgruntled at the thought that we won't see Jo again.  (I think it WILL be released on XBox, but it just won' be the same based on the screen shots I've seen)

The story continues on from where the last one left off.  The Skedar are gone, Cassandra appears to have died, and the Maians appear to be ready to make contact with Humanity.  Do you honestly think that with all of the Skedar technology, dataDyne will fall out of the picture because of Cassandra's absence?  And what about the Cetan?
In the light of previous events, dataDyne is booming with all of their technological 'break-throughs'.  Even though the Skedar are out of the picture completely, they have left their legacy with Earth's markets flooded with their technology.  Despite Cassandra missing in action, the company continues operations as normal.  With Global HQ destroyed, operatons merely shift to another of dataDyne's sky scrapers.

The Maians aren't satisfied that the threat from dataDyne is gone, therefore will not reveal themselves to humanity until Daniel Carrington can prove that their concerns are unfounded.  This, however, seems unlikely.  For at the same time, a brief Maian distress signal was detected by Carrington Institute coming from dataDyne's new HQ.  Carrington sends Joanna Dark to infultrate the building and unveil the source of the distress signal.  She finds a Maian craft and 2 Maians.  One is in suspended animation (Skedar technology) in a tank while the other is dying on the operation table.  Unable to help the Maians, she escapes in the Maian craft.

While on flight, the damaged CPU of the Maian craft detected an un-identifiable signal.  Seeing though Jo is on an investagative mission, she followed the signal to the source.  The signal was coming from one of the search pods dispatched from the Cetan ship that was to find help.  Jo always suspected that there was more than just the one pod that the Skedar intercepted, but she didn't think that one wouldn't have made it out of orbit.  Once Jo got too close to the pod, it sprung to life and flew away (presumably back to it's mother ship at the bottom of the Pacific) and so Jo gave chase.  While in the air, Jo and the pod were intercepted by a fleet of dataDyne fighter vessels.  The Cetan pod was captured by a massive dataDyne Cruiser which Jo managed to jump from her ship onto (as you do!).  Boarding through a hatch on the top, Jo eliminates the crew and takes control of the ship.  Much to her surprise, she discovers Cassandra DeVries locked away onboard the ship.  Cassandra explains to Jo that she piloted the Skedar attack ship that they were both captive on.  Truth be known, she pretended to die so the Skedar wouldn't pursue her (I've done the original mission in slow motion and watched her fall down and scream without one single shot being fired by anyone).  She said that the fleet that accompanied the craft was wiped out by a massive mother ship which she believes belong to the Cetan.  It would seem that the pod that the Skedar had captured finally managed to locate help.  This, however, means that the Cetan could use the same means to find Earth.  Who knows what the Cetan will do when they discover that their Mega Weapon Ship was destroyed by Earthlings.

That's the game so far...
