Obituary: Ward F. Slocum, age 95, died Tuesday, Feb 17, 1987, at the ovid
Convalescent Manor. Mr. Slocum was a farmer. Burial will be in Middlebury
Cemetery. Mr. Slocum was born in Sciota Twp, March 1, 1891, the son of Albert
and Carrie (Tubbs) Slocum, and lived all his life in Sciota Twp. He and E.
Maude Sanderson were married in Laingsburg, Oct 18, 1911. She preceded him in
death in July 1977. Survivors include a son, Max Ludington; two daughters,
Mrs. Raymond (Iva)P Hyde of Lansing and Mrs. V. John (Dorothy) Laune of Fort
