William SLOCOMB

He studied either at Bowdoin College, ME or Philadelphia, PA and London, England. The reports differ. Graduated M.D. He set up practice at Milford, MA, where he practiced until the outbreak of the Civil War, when he returned to practice at Lunenburgh County, NS. He was elected to the NS Assembly. He wrote on consumption and spiritualism but did not publish his work. His manuscripts are in possesion of his half brother, Obadiah W. Slocomb at Argyle, NS. He died of mercury poisoning received while experimenting with gold and mercury at the Ovens at Lunenburgh, NS.

Resided at New Germany, , N.S.


Christiana SLOCOMB

Resided at Nictaux, , N.S.


Walter Bromley SLOCOMB

Resided at Wilmot, Annapolis, N.S. They had five other children whom died in infancy.


Cora Dell SLOCOMB

She was adopted by William Semple of Port George whose family lives in Boston.


Obadiah Wilson SLOCOMB

Resides at Argyle, NS where he is a Justice of the Peace and has served as Councilor and Warden for the Municipality of Argyle. He is a supporter of the temperance cause.
