Presumed dead before 1688, as he was not mentioned in his father's (Anthony) will of 1688. I n 1684 he reserved a Grant of 200 acres of land on the northwest side of Mattacomack Creek, a t the mouth of Mirey Swamp, in old Albemarle County, NorthCarolina, and adjoining the Grant o f the same date of his father. This land is situated about four miles north of the present V illage of Edenton.
