Slocum Family

This file contains much of the information about the Slocum Families of America from the book "Slocums, Slocumbs and Slocombs of America, Genealogical and Biographical; Embracing the First Named Family From 1637 to 1881: etc." written and published by Charled Elihu Slocum, M.D.,Ph.D., in Syracuse, NY in 1882. It is really Vol. I of two volumes. Also included are my maternal lines. It is my intention to include both of Dr. Slocum's volumes on this site. Most of this data has not been verified and the researcher should check all information before accepting it. If sources other than "Slocums of America" are shown you can be assured of more accuracy. Counties in many cases were supplied by the compiler and are almost always the counties as they exist today. These may have changed and records may be found in the original counties records rather than the current county. This is a very time consuming endeavor and will probably take me the better part of 2003 and 2004, or the rest of my life, whichever comes first. Please be patient.
