Epsilon Delta History
We were colonized in Sepember of 1983 and we officially became the Epsilon Delta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi on October 18, 1986 after three long years of hard work and perseverence by our founding fathers.

The three founders of the Epsilon Delta Chapter are:
      George Fred Mugee (UC Irvine)
      Evan Dankberg (Arizona State)
      Frank Chen (UC Irvine)

The six members of the Alpha Pledge Class were:
     Craig Randall Sparks
     Stephen Mathew McMallion
     Jeffrey Scott Mastin
     Kevin Dale Russell
     Dean Bedard
     Duane Bedard

This Chapter has seen its share of ups and downs. For many years, Epsilon Delta has demonstrated its excellence by leading the Cal Poly Greek system  in grades, athletics, and community involvement. In 1997 and 1998, we were Football champs. In 2000 we took first place in Soccer, followed by a 2nd place showing in 2001. In fall 2002, our chapter acheived the second highest overall GPA of all Greek Organizations. We hope to continue our excellence and strive to the top of the Greek Community.

Beginning last fall, this chapter started a period of reconstruction. The goal of these changes will be to establish a stronger, more prominant Fraternity that will surpass the standards of Cal Poly, the Epsilon Delta founders, and even the expectations of the founding fathers of Beta Theta Pi.
