Now it was time to paint it. I got out some old acrylic paints, and put down a base coat of gray. I did two coats.
I mixed up some green, some silver, and some purple and viola! You've got grenade green. The stand its sitting on is not attached. To put the pin in, I heated up a paper clip with a lighter, then stabbed it through the plastic come like cheap butter. I then yanked it out, used the wind chime piece to roll a decent little ring in one end, then slid the key ring into it. Slide the pin into the hole, and it'll stay until you pull it out intentionally.
You'll notice the second grenade I made, the one on the left, is slightly different. The reasons for this are twofold: The original was filled with water, but began to leak through the bottle cap as I built it. I ended up sealing the cap with hot glue. Thus, the weld-looking band where the cap meets the body. The new one I filled with sand. Much easier to work with. Oh- and the lever is different. I didn't have another comb, so I used a random plastic handle. There you have it! Two perfectly working- err... prop grenades!
