| This site is in memory of my father and my best friend Richard Dean McGowan. Richard (dad) was born June 17th, 1944 in New London, Wisconsin. The 3rd oldest of 4 sons of the late John and Ruth McGowan. Dad grew up with his 3 brothers on a farm just outside of the New London city limits with his aunt Nelta, his uncle Emery and their 7 kids within a walking distance of home. In 1967 he married his childhood sweetheart Janet Ann Dollevoet (mom). In 1971 they were both blessed by the birth of my oldest sister and their 1st born Holly Ann McGowan, but god had a plan for their 1st born and Holly passed away that same year. In 1972 the two of them were blessed with their 2 nd child Stacey Lea McGowan (me). It was a family that was meant to be together forever. In 1980 god called my mom home. Since that time me and my dad developed a close bond, spending each minute of life together along with our cat " Smokey ", taking care and watching out for each other. On December 3rd of 2003 my dad passed away in his sleep. It was something that was totally unexpected. In honor of my dad's memory I decided to give the gift of life by donating my fathers organs and tissues, for those people who's lives are effected medically would have another chance to live long, happy, and healthy lifes. I will forever miss my dad, but knowing that he's in the hands of god makes my life a little bit easier to deal with.
